"Lasing ka ba, sir? I'm sure you're not. Matulog ka nalang muna nga. Gusto mo coffee?"

"I'm serious." He pouted.

"Sir, marriage is for two people who loves each other. Ah- ikaw ah!" I shouted.

"Hey, I don't love you! It's too early to be called love! Like pa-"

"That's not what I'm talking about. You heard our conversation no? You want the company!" Sigaw ko muli.

"Ha? Ah, yes! Oo. I need the company. Marry me."

"Sir, ayoko nga! Maghanap ka ng ibang papakasalan! Do you want me to call Jana? She'll be more than willing."

"Eh? No, she's too young."

She really is. She's between 19 and 20. I've been working for Alistair for 5 years and I haven't seen him associated with any girls ever since. He'd buy flowers and such for their birthdays but he doesn't really care for them.

"Ako di-"

"No. You're literally just a year younger than me, Raelle."

"Sir naman! Itulog mo nalang 'yan tapos kausapin mo si Mr. and Mrs. Lee bukas, doon, hingin mo 'yung company niyo. Bye! Uwi na ako!"

"Hahatid kita!"

"Goodnight sir!" Paalam ko.

Nag-taxi ako pauwi sa bahay nila Mommy. I don't live with them, or else I'll be forced to take over the company which I don't have any plans on doing.

Alistair didn't know. I don't have plans on telling him who I really am. I just want to keep that perfect secretary image cause a female CEO would be way different for me.

It's kind of ironic cause sometimes, Alistair would tell me to look for Ellie, his old friend. I can't tell him that I could cause I would just look for myself. You can say that it's been quite long cause he already forgot that he used to call me Elle and not Ellie.

"Mi, good evening."

"Hi, anak! You seemed tired."

"Medyo ma. Si Daddy po?"

"Hi, ate! Si Daddy wala, kami lang ni Mommy at ate Shaniah lang." Our youngest, Isaac greeted me.

"Ate," Shaniah ran to me and hugged me tight. "Miss na miss na kita! Noong nandoon ako sa trabaho mo kahapon 'di kita pwedeng kausapin e!"

"Shaniah, do you consider on marrying Alistair?" I asked her.

"No! 7 years older na 'yun, eh! Tsaka no! Basta, no!" Reklamo niya.

"Then stop meddling with him. Ang problematic ng tao na 'yon. Anlaki ng problema sa buhay."

"The public needs to know that I'm with him, ate. Para madami ding luxury brands na kukuha sakin." She smirked.

"Anak, pagod na pagod ka diyan sa trabaho mo, oh. Take over your father's business. Limang taon ka na diyan kay Alistair. Be your own boss."

"Ma, no. Ayaw kong ma-involve sa public. I don't wanna be known as a Monverde that relies on her parent's money."

"You know that's not what I meant, anak. What I'm saying is that masyado kang napapagod sa trabaho mo. Alistair doesn't even know about anything. What do you think will he react kapag nalaman niya na 'yung secretary na inuutusan niya 'yung anak ng tita niya? Anong masasabi niya kapag nalaman niyang ikaw 'yung kababata niya?"

"Ma, wala po siyang pakealam don! He doesn't care about the past. What that self-centered man cares about is his image and inheriting the company."
