Chapter 27

I woke up as I felt the morning breeze hugging my body. Hindi na ito masyadong malamig compared kagabi.

I took a glipse of Alistair, sleeping peacefully by my side.

Pag-tayo ko, na-realize ko na kung bakit hindi ako giniginaw. I'm wearing Alistair's shirt. It's big for me.

I immediately went to the bathroom to take a bath and change what I'm wearing. I'm glad Mommy put something decent here.

Paglabas ko, Alistair is still sleeping, or I guess, he just closed his eyes.

"Elle," he called me.

"Oh?"

"Wala lang. It just felt so different calling you in the morning."

"Umuwi na tayo."

"Let's stay for one more night. Tsaka na tayo bumalik doon."

"I have deadlines later."

"Let's buy a macbook."

"Ang gastos mo. Can't we just go home?"

"Bakit excited na excited ka namang umalis dito sa tabi ko? I'll buy breakfast dito, malayo e, 'di kasama address sa food delivery. Wait here."

"Alright." I nodded.

Paglabas niya ng bahay, I immediately peeked to see if the driver I called is here. Kanina pa ako tumawag so any moment, he'd be here.

Inayos ko na ang bag ko, and left a note for Alistair. Hindi pa ako handa.

When will I ever be?

"Kuya, pasensiya na po ha. Emergency lang talaga." I told kuya Roland, our driver, as I put my bag on the compartment of the car.

"Wala pong problema, Ma'am."

"Tara na p-" I was supposed to go inside the car, but a hand pulled me out. "What the?"

"Ma'am, pasensiya na po. Utos lang ni Ma'am Tae Hee." Kuya Roland said and went away.

Hindi ako maka-lingon. Damn it!

"Alistair, alam mo, ano-"

"Ano? Anong excuse nanaman sasabihin mo ngayon?"

"Alistair," I called him, running out of words to say.

"Sandali lang Elle, please. Just give me an hour. After one hour, ihahatid na din kita. I won't chase after you anymore." He answered, panting.

"Hindi sa gan'on, Alistair. Pakiramdam ko lang kasi, masyadong mabilis 'yung takbo ng mga pangyayari. Let's take it slowly."

"I actually want to tell you something before we go."

"Hmm?"

"Just kidding. Wala akong sasabihin. I just want to get you to stay. I waited for two long years, if this might be the last time you're showing yourself then I might as well just spend a whole day with you. I mean- you wanted to go away without even telling me, gaano po ka-gustong umalis?"

"Alistair-"

"Just a day, Elle, please? Isang araw lang. Then after this day, you decide if you wanted to make us work or not."

"Alistair, why? Why can't you like someone that's sure of you? Someone that would never leave you against all circumstances?"

"I don't want her if it's not you."

"I'm sorry for leaving." I said, not looking a him.

"Look at me," he said and lifted my face. "Punta tayong Hanguk."
