"Ayan ka nanaman." Reklamo ni Alistair.

"Ha?"

"I told you, we're walking beside each other. Tabi, Raelle, tabi."

"Oo na." I laughed. "Brent, do you want to sit in the trolley?"

"Yes, ate."

"Tell me what you like ha, we'll get it for you."

"Okay." He nodded.

"Ang cute niyo naman pong pamilya. Parang ang bata niyo po mag-asawa." Ngiti ng isang staff sa grocery na naga-ayos ng stocks nila.

"Ay, hindi po kami mag-asawa." Tanggi ko.

"Ay, hindi na po kami bata. She's 24 and I'm 25. We look good together, no?"

"Oo, sir. Wait, familiar po kayo!"

"Alistair kasi!" Saway ko dahil for sure, issue nanaman 'to kapag nakilala siya.

"Kayo po 'yung sikat na businessman di'ba?"

"Yes, I'm Alistair Lee."

"Sabi ko na po, eh. Kaya familiar kayo. Ang ganda po pala ng asawa niyo, sir."

"Yes. If you'll excuse us, we have to pay for this already." Alistair said.

"Sige, sir. Nice meeting you!" He smiled.

"Alistair, ano nanaman 'to? Issue nanaman 'to! I can't cover up for this anymore."

"Then don't. Okay lang naman saakin. Sa'yo?" He teased.

Pagbalik sa bahay, umaambon na. The rain has gotten worse.

"Sige."

Pagpasok ko sa kwarto, I covered myself with a blanket and surrounded myself with pillows.

"Raelle," saway ko sa sarili ko nang lumakas lalo ang ulan. "Stop crying."

I tightened my grip on the pillows and shouted.

"Raelle!" Alistair shouted and hugged me tight. "Why?" He hushed me and caressed my hair.

"It's too loud." I cried out loud.

"Shh, I'm here. Don't worry. I won't leave you, okay?"

My mind is really twisted and I can't think properly now. I just know that I'm too comfortable in his arms and it's scaring me now.

"You're in my arms. You're safe." He told me without moving. His hugs are still tight.

"I can't breathe." I hardly spoke.

"Is it because I'm holding you too tight?"

"N- no."

I disagree. I can't breathe, not because I felt unsafe in his arms because for the very first time, I know that I did.

"Are you feeling a little better now?" He asked when the storm became more quiet.

"Yes." I nodded.

"That's a relief." I sighed but still, he didn't take his arms off me.

"Thank you."

"Always, Raelle. You didn't tell me you had that fear. How was it for you when there are storms? How hard was it for you when I sent you out when it's raining? You acted so brave when all this time, you've got a fear and I'm not even aware how hard it was for you."
