It's been a month since we got home from Mommy's hometown. Alistair didn't fail to go in my office everyday. In fact, I'm already expecting him to come here any moment for us to eat dinner together.

I don't feel like going outside today for a meal. I'm feeling nauseous and I don't want to do anything.

"Hi!" He shouted as he open the front door.

The feeling of excitement every time I see him didn't change even when we've been together for so many years.

"Can we have steak later?" I asked him.

"We had steak yesterday."

"I still want it. Pati strawberry milkshake." Pilit ko.

"Okay! Let me help you finish."

"I'm done. Can we go now? I'm starving. No- just ask them to deliver the food here. I feel nauseous, I can't go out."

"Wait lang ha. Let me call Tita nga."

After a few minutes, he went back inside the office with a smile plastered on his face.

"Why?"

"Let's have lots of steaks and milkshakes, shall we?" He smiled widely.

"Weirdo." I scoffed.

"You're the one that's weird."

The food immediately arrived after he called them. No one can make this stern guy wait.

"Miracle, you waited for ten minutes nang 'di nagrereklamo ha. What's with you?"

"You told me you're hungry. So I should be patient. My impatience might make you even more hungry."

"Improvement. I just didn't eat lunch and breakfast. That probably explains why I'm nauseous and craving for beef."

"Oh." He nodded.

"After eating, I'll go home." I informed him.

"Don't you want to go to my place?"

"Nope, I'm good."

"Oh, okay."

"I mean it." Ulit ko.

"I know. Sige na, I'll clean up after our mess. It looks like you need more rest than I do."

"I really mean it, Alistair."

"Yes, Ma'am. Kaya nga po sabi ko di'ba, umuwi ka na?"

"Fine." Irap ko.

I'm not mad at Alistair. To be honest, hindi ko alam kung kanino ako galit.

Pagdating sa bahay, Shaniah and Janice are in the living area watching netflix.

"Ate, we need help with our project."

"Oh?"

"The professor told us to make a structure out of pasta. It kept falling down so she told us to reflect on what we did wrong. Tinaasan naman namin 'yung structure."

"That's where you went wrong."

"Ha?"

"What is your objective?"

"To make a tall structure."

"Ayan ba sinabi ng prof niyo?"

"Hindi po. Sabi niya lang, gumawa kami ng structure."

"In making a structure, height is not important. It doesn't really matter if it's really high or very low. What matters is the foundation. Basta matatag 'yung foundation mo, it won't fall. After creating a sturdy foundation, tsaka mo na isipin 'yung floors mo."
