"Why did we have to leave so early?" Renjun whined quietly as he continued to follow Mark's tracks in front of him.

They all left at exactly 4:00 in the morning, with Jaemin saying that it's much better leaving at dawn rather than broad daylight as he read that zombies or walkers have trouble seeing in the dark. Most of the boys just shrugged off his idea but Mark found it helpful.

"Shut up, just continue walking. If I can leave you out in the open, I would and you'll die." Donghyuck ranted as he huffed, struggling with his heavy backpack swinging on his broad shoulders.

"Tsk, as if you will." Renjun clapped back, raising his brow as a sign of challenge.

The whole group was headed to a place where they've been many times before, considering it safe. They walked towards a dark forest, cold morning air hitting their bodies making them shiver as they only wore thin fabrics that wrapped around their torso and provided the least amount of protection it can.

Mark led the group, looking around for any possible threats. Luckily, since they started their journey, no zombies have crossed their path, yet.

The eldest sighed in frustration as he quickly glanced at the two youngest at his back. They haven't been talking since the night of their fight and none of them actually knew what exactly happened except for themselves.

With trees becoming more prominent and visible, he smiled slightly, feeling a twinge of relief as he knew that they were closer. He continued strutting, stepping on various rocks and stones as he did.

"Hey, how do we know that Mark is not gonna lead us to a group of those creepy zombies?" Jeno asked to particularly no one but all of their heads turned towards him. "Uhm, what?"

Donghyuck shook his head and slumped his arm over the boy's shoulder. "The answer is," he whispered, making Jeno lean in closer. "We don't." he winked at the naive boy and left with Jaemin by his side.

As they entered the forest, all of them have become more alert and sensitive to their surroundings, jumping at every small sound they hear.

Jeno furrowed his brows and turned away from the Donghyuck. Jisung then walked close to him, getting away from Chenle. "We're going to our treehouse, remember? How can he possibly lead us to those ugly monsters if he himself is afraid of it," he said lowly, careful not to attract anything that can cause danger.

Jeno nodded slowly, agreeing with the boy. "And besides, we all trust him." Jisung patted his shoulder and smiled slightly.

Mark then stopped abruptly causing the others to trip over themselves. "What the hell, man?" Chenle hissed, rubbing his head that bumped into Mark's.

"Yeah, sorry about that but there's a huge hoard of walkers infront of our treehouse and it's already getting brighter here. How can we possibly continue our plan?" Mark rumbled as he pointed to a indeed a huge group of growling hungry monsters.

"Well, fuck."

"Renjun, quit stating the obvious." Donghyuck nudged the boy. He only glared at him before turning to Mark. "What now, Lee?"

"Don't ask me," Jeno and Mark accidentally said at the same time. "Oh, okay." Jeno realized who he was talking to. Renjun eyed the sky which was getting a shade brighter every minute and it only caused them internal panic.

"Hyuck, you have a plan?" Jisung tapped the elder. Donghyuck smiled brightly causing his cheeks to rise. This made the boys quite relieved as they trusted him, as he always comes up with the group plans.

"No," Donghyuck continued to grin. Jisung sighed in disappointment, just as he thought he had a plan.

"We go there, in seperate groups. Jisung and Jeno go distract them so they can gather at the other direction, while we go unlock the groot station." Jaemin explained after the group's long silence, making big hand movements and pointing at the other end of the forest.

"Groot station, what in the worl-"

"How do we cause a distraction?" Jisung asked, eyeing Jaemin who just smiled innocently.

"Jeno can scream, they're attracted to noise." Jaemin said before pushing the two out in the open without giving them a chance to protest.

Jeno gritted his teeth and looked at the boy, a curse being muttered under his breath. "I will punch him once we get to them, I swear-"

Jisung just rolled his eyes and pulled Jeno, farthest they can go before pushing him down, hiding behind a tree. He signalled him to stay put, and be quiet while roaming his eyes around the forest.

Since they know this place like the back if their hands, they can easily run around and find ways to go to a certain area. "You shout as loud as you can, and we run around, we have to be quiet, and we take another lap so we can fully enter the treehouse." Jisung instructed, gripping the other's arms so tight that it turned red.

Jeno didn't say anything but just nodded as he prepared his throat for the loudest shout he'll ever make in his life.

Jisung looked around again, the path they were taking was in circles, the treehouse was practically in the middle of the forest, and they needed their friends to get there, but the stepway they're in right now is also a path they needed to walk through later at dark. They needed to run as fast as they can, and as quiet as possible to the opposite side after Jeno shouts, but they also need him to shout again in the opposite direction so they can clear the way and enter the treehouse.

The boy cleared his throat, "AAAAAAAHHHH!" he yelled. Jisung covered his ears and as he saw the zombies run to their place, he pulled Jeno to run.

They sprinted as fast as they can but Jeno tripped over a branch, his foot getting stuck. "Oh come on!" Jisung whisper-yelled and pulled his friend from the branches. "This is not the time to pull a main character moment, Lee Jeno!" he scolded.

The zombies are slowly getting closer to them, faster than they expected, and as they passed the little house, all the others ran to the door, quickly unlocking the door, with Mark fumbling with the keys.

Jisung sighed and pulled one last time, freeing Jeno from the sharp branches. He supported him from running, basically taking on Jeno's whole weight.

The zombies slowed down on the place they were before and they finished running to half the point they needed to. Mark finally clicked open the wooden door and Jisung prepared to run again.

"I did not sign up for this when we became friends," he whispered, referring to Jeno clinging onto him for dear life.

Jeno did his yell again, and Jisung quickly took big steps to the house, still holding on Jeno, pushing the door open and collapsing on the wooden floor of the house.

"I'm never doing that again."
