Author's Note.
Hope you like the chapter. Please comment and vote, I'd love to know what you all think. Comment down you thoughts on Aphrodite. How do you think I'm writing her character? It's a little hard since she is barely in anything more than two full chapters worth of material in both the PJO series and the HOO series.
Aphrodite POV
I have been watching the entire conversation Percy and the daughter of Athena had with that cannibalistic new activity director about the quest to the Sea of Monsters. Percy was just asked by a daughter of Ares if he would join her on the quest. I was admittedly against Percy going on that stupid quest to the Sea of Monsters. I hate the very idea. He has been there a number of times and has died there more than enough. I wanted to kill him myself for trying to put himself in a situation where he could die, again.
I was going to go into Percy's dreams even if it took him forever to finally rest. I was going to give him an earful. It was one thing to say that he is going to do something that we both don't want him to do. It is another thing entirely to get ready to do them. I was so mad I was affecting the entire world by accident.
Everyone who ever felt love slowly began to lose love in their hearts. That left them with the two opposing sides to love, hate, and apathy. Even if it was only a minute the entire world was about to go to war with itself worse than ever before since there was no love for others. When I caught myself, Europe and Asia were about to send nukes to North and South America. Just because I didn't control my emotions over my stupid barnacle-brained lover I nearly whipped out all life on Gaea's green earth.
Right after I stopped the entire world's destruction from just me not handling my emotions, I decided not to speak to Percy knowing full well that two seconds with him would just bring me back to world destruction. I decided to speak to my daughter and noticed that Silena was not asleep.
When I finally found her, she was sitting near the beach and talking to one of the other Olympians, Hermes. This was getting more infuriating by the second. I watched from my compact mirror. I could see his little wheels turning in his head as if one, he was going to get her to do something and two, try to sleep with my daughter. I would castrate him before I let one of the three-man sluts of Olympus (Apollo, Hermes, and Zeus) even think about going anywhere near impregnating one of my daughters.
I flash myself near Silena and Hermes who were on a beach towel near the ocean. When I got there, I distracted Hermes with a few doves. When the doves were done bothering him, he turned and saw some wood nymph. I used my power to make him fall in love with her and he practically went after and chased her.
"Never date a god or goddess. They are too much trouble for what they are worth," I told Silena.
"Does that count for you too mom?" Silena asked after noticing I was there.
"I have my moments. I have cursed gods and mortals alike. We are lucky that I didn't kill the entire human race after your dad went and agreed to be a part of the suicide mission."
"What are you talking about? Mom, what did you do?" Silena asked.
"That doesn't matter now," I told her while fixing some of my makeup. "So, what was so important that one of the more tolerable gods of Olympus wanted to talk to my blushing baby girl?"
"He was talking to me about going on the quest. I was going to try and convince both Annabeth and Tyson to come with me and sneak out and help dad. He gave me this bag and a thermos."
"That holds the four winds," I told her. I then realized that she was trying to go on a quest. "You are not going to the Sea of Monsters!"
"But mom, dad could use my help." she retaliated. "You said I am the best charm speaker out of my current siblings because I was actually born from your passion. I could help dad. If he is going on the quest so am I."
