Author's Note;
All I am going to say is that hopefully, this chapter starts off with a bang like how I felt when I first read the first chapter of the cannon Last Olympian. Love you guys. Don't forget to comment and vote. This is the being of the end.
Oh, P.S. this chapter is long and hopefully, you like the longer fighting scenes for this book. I want to try to go all out now. I've been trying to hold back in the other books for a climactic climax in this one. Tell me what you guys think.
Percy POV
The entire year sucked. I fought battles every other week, either on land or underwater. Triton, the former crowned prince of the seas and my older brother, betrayed us and had helped Oceanus by showing him many of our weaknesses.
To top it all off, rumors said that Kronos, along with his most powerful and devout titan followers, turned Elana into a titan after she married Triton, part of the deal to convince him to betray us. She had become the titaness of currents, tides, and violent waters. In other words, more significant pain in the butt than before.
If the other rumors are true, she was already expecting a child a literal week after the marriage. If the child was born and raised alongside the titans, this could lead to a bigger political struggle alongside the actual war. It wasn't always like that when hierarchies and politics came into things like war under the sea, but it became common since Oceanus was kicked out of the throne. With Triton and me being the most likely heirs of Poseidon's throne, more me since I am crowned prince, Oceanus coming back into the fold, and all the other sea gods jumping in when they have the chance, this civil war could be endless. We need to end this fast before it becomes the new commonplace for the next ten thousand years.
With Olethros and Evolgia, I had been cutting down monsters, but their numbers were greater than ever before. If by any chance we won this, I expect us to have at least a few months with no monsters outside of the Underworld. Knowing my luck, it was more like a few minutes. The fates would then argue that both started with an m, and it would get confusing.
Aperio and Aioniotita was sitting next to me as I was dealing with the increase of defenses on all of the cities, I had control over, especially New York. With the Labyrinth in my control, supply runs were smoother than ever. We were more ready than we would have been beforehand if we were preparing for five years. We were calmly waiting; Beckendorf and I were supposed to go on a two-man operation to destroy the main cruise ship on which the first wave of monsters
was sailing to get to Manhattan.
Aperio was asleep while Aioniotita looked around at everything; he was always better at
night, just like how Aperio was better in the day. They are enormous now; they were bigger than bears and rhinos, but now they make Mrs. O'Leary look small. They were twice her size and now had a complete mane. Aperio's golden coloring shone in the sun almost like fire, while Aioniotita's dark, virtually space-like mane and coat looked like darkness with the ever-changing cosmic colors of space shining in certain lightings. Aioniotita let out a yawn as I spun both my coins in hand and spun around each other.
We were sitting under a tree next to the ocean. Looking to the side as I had a desk in front of me with all the paperwork I needed to worry about. Cities, battle strategies, the Labyrinth, the place was too big for me to worry about everything at once; it still had a mind of its own. I even heard word about letting some of the monsters from the Bermuda triangle out destroy other ships. I even had to get Davy Jones to sink a few. My book from Athena was on a page with a diagram of the Sphere of the Presence Athena had given me. It had all knowledge ever, brought you to the right page; you needed information from the moment you opened it, but somehow, I'm still searching the pages for information on the thing.
