Percy POV

When I woke up all I could hear was bubbles rushing past my ears. At first, I thought I was in the Underworld and thought, Wow, that quest was quick. I'm already here. But then realized that I was alive, and I was surprisingly not as flat as something that was steamrollered over. The second thing I realized was that I wasn't wet. I could feel the water around me and could feel it going through my fingertips, but I wasn't wet.

I could hear the voice in the back of my head again. I knew who this voice was due to how many times I had spoken to her. She was really angry, and I could tell she wanted to punch me in the face.

"You idiot! That was the stupidest...oh my gods! Percy what the heck!" Aphrodite screamed in my head. I could hear her take in a deep breath. "What do you say now?"

"Thanks, dad. For you know, letting me survive the fall into the river." I said out loud in the water. It didn't take me long to realize I didn't need air, I was breathing underwater. I turned around and heard another voice that wasn't Aphrodite's. She looked strikingly like my mother, but she was made of water. How something could look like water while being underwater is beyond me.

Perseus, go to Santa Monica. It is the will of your father. He wishes you there before your descent to the Underworld. Please, young prince of the seas. Your father believes in you and your quest. Have faith in him.

With that, she left. I crawled out of the water and opened my hand. Olethros came from the sky went into my hand and to turn back into a coin. I put it in my pocket and made sure I had Riptide in my other pocket. When I came out everyone looked towards me and asked me questions. Apparently, the story was that a lion somehow got inside, and I was being heroic and stayed behind to help others getaway. Then when fighting, a gas pipe burst and caused an explosion. I don't know how they got that idea but I heard Aphrodite tell me your welcome in my head.

People slowly realized who I was and were congratulating me and thanking me for saving their lives. I know for fact my dad was going to love this while having a mini heart attack for almost dying. I was waiting for the interviews that my siblings were going to have asking questions about their "hero" brother. I began to leave to find the others.

Annabeth and Grover found me, Vasilias came and gave me a once over to make sure I wasn't dead. Surprisingly, me walking around wasn't enough to make it obvious enough for him. I told them what happened and Annabeth inspected my gloves.

"You are the second person to kill Medusa, the Minotaur, the chimera, and killed the kindly ones twice. I think we have to end this quest quickly before we attract a god or something for you to fight," she told me. "I've never heard of the chimera's spoil of war. I wonder what it does?"

"We have to figure that out on the way. Since Percy has been summoned by Poseidon," Grover told us.

"Yeah, let's go," I told them.

It was now a week away from the solstice and from what Aphrodite told me that was when Zeus wanted Poseidon to give him the master bolt back. Annabeth told us we needed to send a message to Chiron and I told them we couldn't use phones. She replied we didn't need to and said something about Iris-messaging. A few minutes later in a car wash, we used mist and a rainbow to call the camp but only got Luke.

Luke said that Chiron was doing something and told us that the camp was getting nasty. People were choosing sides in the battle. Something about Ares on my dad's side while Athena was with Zeus. Great, my grandmother is siding with the guy that wants to kill me.

When we finished talking we had to get food and stopped at dinner. When we got there the server looked at us as if we were from the streets which I couldn't blame her for. She asked if we could even pay and then she turned around and saw people whispering something about me being a Jackson. They had recognized me on Alyssa's posts. The server was going to leave before two people walked through the door.
