Aphrodite POV

After I spoke with Percy, I knew what to do. I had to ask one of my least favorite people in this world for help to end this curse and hopefully in this lifetime. I cannot have him die again, not again. I had to ask Athena for help, she was the smartest person I knew. Luckily for me, there is some strategy in love and I am strategic enough to know that if you are going to talk with the person you hate most you have to bring some sort of intermediary. I knew just who to ask for this.

I teleported myself to the forest and immediately heard the growling of wolves. Some of which came to confront me. I kissed my hand and blew it towards them sending some of my perfume towards them and made them lovesick puppies who immediately sat down.

When this happened, hunters came forth to find me. Some stood down from their previous battle-ready position while others got more serious. Some of them have gotten on my bad side before, some of them have gotten the man they loved at some point stolen by my daughters.

"What is it that you want, love goddess?" one asked. Before they continued a girl came forth. Her dark brown eyes and hair would cause a lot of boys to drool. I would know, I have seen a couple fantasies men had for her when they saw her. It was Zoe, Artemis's Lieutenant.

"Aphrodite?"

"It has been a long time, Zoe. I need to speak to Artemis," I told her.

"If I may ask? Why?" Zoe asked

"It involves the curse and how I'm going about finding a way to get rid of it," I told her not caring about wasting time. Zoe looked shocked and waved me over quickly. We walked into the camp and towards Artemis's tent. Zoe asked for permission for both of us to enter. Artemis had silvery eyes and auburn hair, I've been wanting to set her up with someone forever.

"Hello, Aphrodite. What are you doing here?" she asked clearly not liking me with her hunters since they hate me.

"I need your help. I've been trying to find a solution to the curse but can't figure it out. So, I need to speak to the person who could find out how. I need to speak to your sister, Athena. I could use your help making sure our conversation gets somewhere besides me wanting to rip apart Olympus if she angers me."

"How would you destroy Olympus?" Zoe asked. Artemis looked to Aphrodite and Aphrodite gave her a nod.

"I told you of the curse of Perseus and Aphrodite, yes. But not the truth that they have hidden for twenty thousand years. Aphrodite is no goddess, Zoe. She has been fooling the rest of the council for quite some time. She is in fact a primordial goddess. Far more powerful than us other Olympians. She doesn't want to harm Olympus; she just knows that she can take things a bit too far and needs me to make sure she doesn't."

"Don't the ancient laws set forth by Chaos, the first being in existence and he who created existence, say that those who wed a primordial and are divine become the same as their husband or wife? If that's the case and Aphrodite is a primordial, shouldn't Hephaestus be a primordial since he married her?"

"That wedding was fake. I am a primordial of love, marriage should be two lovers becoming one. He was neither my lover nor someone I want to be one with. As a primordial of love, I can negate something which is supposed to be the pinnacle of love such as marriage even if I was wed by the goddess of marriage, Hera. So, basically on paper? Yes, we are married. In actuality? No, we are not," I told her.

"But why would you help?" Zoe asked.

"Because I owe it to Perseus. He has aided me in many battles and has fought for and saved the lives of many hunters before you joined. Previous Amazons and hunters hold him in high regard even if he is a male. He is the only male that I have any form of respect for. I even saw him kill a man who tried to take advantage of a young maiden and brought her to me knowing she would be safe. I will do this for him, not for you Aphrodite. Remember that."
