Aphrodite POV
I lead us through the Empire State building and to Mount Olympus. When we reached the top floor, I could see that torches were lit, and nymphs, minor gods, and friendly cyclops walked about the streets. The ancient Greek architecture littered around the mountain peak. Not many people knew this, but they call New York City the city that never sleeps because the gods above the city never had the need to sleep. We never need to do so, and most only do so just to kill time or if they had a really fun night with a special someone.
People were looking at me more than usual, which is saying a lot. It made sense since I used more of my power to fix the mortal and magical words from the lack of love. I'm not working for five minutes, and everything goes to Tartarus.
Silena was marveling at every little thing since this was her first time here. She couldn't make it a few years ago during the winter solstice meeting in which the son of Hermes stole the master bolt from Zeus.
But what was really getting me angry was all the nymphs staring at Percy. I love him, but he's an idiot at times. I taught him a thing or two about love and romance, and he could notice when some people have crushes, but he's not always so perceptive. He couldn't even tell when half of Camp Half-Blood was in the infirmary because they were trying to impress him and get his attention. They literally had to file the injuries as Percy Jackson to explain why they all got injured.
Nymphs were flirting with him, and he couldn't even tell. To be fair, the flirting wasn't the best since most of the Olympian nymphs are more used to gods chasing and flirting with them rather than them doing the work.
I walked into the council room before Percy and Silena. They stayed behind the doors with the daughter of Athena, daughter of Zeus, and from what Silena told me, the daughter of Hades. When I walked into the council room, every throne was occupied but mine. It was next to Athena at the end of the woman's side of the council room. Even Hades was there in his pseudo throne. Poor guy, he is one of the Big Three, the eldest son of Kronos, and he doesn't even get a seat on the council.
The cow-separate hybrid thingy was in a giant water sphere. It was spinning and twirling around. The satyr friend of Percy was near the water sphere. But that's not what was interesting. I looked past it and to Zeus. He looked a little different, less confident, less powerful; his eyes were dimmer and less of its electric blue coloring. Ouranos was already stripping Zeus of some of his power. No one could tell but me since I was a primordial child of the sky. Even Zeus' other kids could not see the change in him.
"Nice of you to join us," Hera leered at me.
"Sorry, I was...eating my cereal, "I told them while looking at Demeter.
"I knew it," Demeter confirmed with delight. "I told you she eats her cereal!"
"Enough!" Zeus roared from his throne with lightning surging through the stormy night sky.
"Calm down. I was just teasing," I told them. "I was working so hard holding up the sky. Having a bit of fun was needed."
"I do not care about whether you were holding up the sky or not!" Zeus screamed.
"No. But you should care about the war to come. Lord Zeus, we must prepare for war. The titans are moving. We need to prepare for war, now!" Artemis told Zeus.
"So be it. You and Apollo will go and hunt down all the more prominent monsters to ensure they do not fall to the titan's grasps," Zeus decreed.
"There is something I want to speak about. Your daughter has the golden apple. I want it back," Hera told me.
