I woke up the next morning a mess. The previous conversation I had with Steven never left my mind. I did my best not to toss and turn last night while I was awake, because I didn't want to wake Luke up.

He promised me he would stay the night, and he did. His arms stayed around my the entire time, holding me close to him. While it brought me some comfort I still felt miserable.

I rubbed my tired, dry eyes and looked down at my bed. Luke wasn't there. I sighed. This shouldn't have been surprising. If I were Luke I wouldn't have stayed either.

I sighed as I slowly climbed out of bed and left my room. I dragged my feet along the floor as I shuffled into the kitchen.

"You're not so bad," I heard Michael say in a cheerful tone. I stopped walking, confused. Who was he talking to.

"Thanks, you're pretty alright yourself."

It was Luke. I held my breath, afraid that I would breath too loud and they would hear me. I wanted to know what else they would say.

"Did you get it in last night?" Michael asked. I rolled my eyes and Luke laughed.

"No. It was an...interesting night I guess you could say. And no, not in that way."

"Ah. Well, let me tell you something. Crash is an idiot. She says and does stupid things and most of the time reacts without thinking. She can be moody and very opinionated. But she's a good person. If she trusts you don't lost that trust. She's a difficult one to crack."

I couldn't help but smile. Michael was looking out for me. I decided now would be a good time to walk into the kitchen.

"Morning," I said. My throat was dry and my voice sounded funny due to all my crying yesterday.

"Hey Crash," Michael said. I noticed him wink at Luke. I began to open cabinets, trying to find something to eat. I sighed when I came up empty handed.

"Why don't we go out for breakfast," Luke said standing up. He was wearing the same clothes as yesterday. He stayed the whole time.

"Okay," I said. "Um, I need to shower and stuff first."

"Absolutely not. Just get dressed and we will go now," Luke said before standing up and leaving the kitchen.

I glanced at Michael. He had a smirk on his face.

"What?"

"You really like him."

"Shut up," I told him, although I couldn't stop myself from blushing.

"There's nothing wrong with that Crash. I talked to him for awhile, he seems pretty cool."

"Are you taking on the big brother role now?"

He chuckled. "Something let that. Go get ready."

"Have you always drank your coffee black?"

I nodded, setting the white mug down. The look on Luke's face when he heard me order it was priceless.

He scrunched his nose up. "I don't get how you can do that. I add like a shit ton of creamer to mine."

"It's because you're weak," I teased. He stuck his tongue out at me.

"Whatever," he scoffed and then proceeded to flex, showing off his muscles.

"Did you ever hear back from Ollie's?" He asked me. I shook my head. I was really hoping they would hire me. If I had to spend another day at my current job I was going to go insane.
