Are you doing anything tonight?

I stared at the text that Ashton sent me, a little confused.

no...why??

I met this girl and we are going out to dinner tonight. I want you to come with.

I scrunched up my nose. I didn't want to be a third wheel and watch Ashton and this girl flirt all night. So that's exactly what I told him.

Bring Michael! Please!

Michael works tonight!

Luke?

I didn't answer right away. I was still ignoring Luke, but he hasn't been trying to get ahold of me as much. I was thinking about him like crazy, and I did feel bad. Maybe this would make up for it. I decided to try it and gave him a call.

"So you're going to talk to me now?" Was how he answered the phone.

I closed my eyes. "I'm sorry."

There was a long pause on his side. "You're lucky you're cute," he finally said. I smiled and let out the breath that I was holding. "So what's up?"

"Ashton has a date tonight and is too pussy to go on it alone. He wants me to go with him and I said I wasn't going without a date."

"Are you asking me out on a date, Patricia?"

I rolled my eyes. "That's not my name, Lucas."

Luke's adorable laugh filled my ears. "And Lucas isn't mine. But sure Crash, I'll be your date tonight."

Ashton told me I had to dress nice. Nice as in, I should probably wear a dress. After taking practically everything out of my closet I finally found a dress. It was a simple black one with a lace back.

I heard a knock at the door and went to answer it. Luke was there, leaning against the doorframe, and he looked drop dead sexy.

I stared at his white collared shirt and thin black tie. I bit my lower lip, wanting to kiss him.

"Like the view?" He teased.

"You clean up well," I admitted.

"So do you. That dress looks nice on you, Patricia."

I rolled my eyes as I hit Luke in the arm.

"So fill me in on what's going on," Luke said as we headed down to his car.

"My friend Ashton, the one with normal colored hair, has a date tonight. I'm not sure who with or what her name is. But anyways, Ashton doesn't have the best of luck with girls. He always says stupid shit. So usually Michael and I will go with him on his first date to save his ass."

"Then why am I going?"

"Because," I continued on. "Michael is at work."

Luke nodded as he drove down the street. "So I'm just filling in?"

I tilted my head side to side. "Kinda. But do you wanna know something?"

He glanced at me before turning his attention back to the road. "I would much rather have you as a date than Michael."

I spotted Ashton right away as we pulled up the the restaurant. Him and his date were sitting on a bench outside, waiting for us. From this distance I could see her long blonde hair reaching the middle of her back. She had on a red dress with matching heels.
