My life as a mother had quickly turned into routine. Now it was time to introduce Timothy to my siblings. I spend the night at the Café. I would surprise them today.

I was walking home and when I arrived, my siblings were taught by their teachers. No one noticed me. I handed Timothy to my father and went to the lake. I waited for them. When they came outside, I overheard them talk.

They talked about how much they missed me and wanted me to come back home. Then they began to sing the song I taught them a long time ago. I chimed in and surprised them all. I ran towards them and hugged them all together.

"I missed you.", Yvonne said.
"I missed you too."
"Where were you?"
"I was occupied. But I have a surprise for you."
"What is it?", they asked.

They followed me inside and saw a sleeping baby in our father's arms. He loved Timothy like his own son. It was all I wanted. Bastien would join us later today, to take care of his young son.

"Is he yours?"
"Yes. He's my little boy."
"Were you alone?", Delilah asked.
"No. I had two midwives and a doctor.", I said.

I took Timothy and rocked him in my arms. I kneeled down so all my siblings could see him.

"How is he so cute?"
"Did you really carry him?", Yvonne asked.
"Yes, I carried him inside my belly for 9 months.", I explained.

"And how did he get in there?", Yvonne asked.

I looked at Delilah for help, but she just held back her laugher.

"When two people really love each other, they sometimes look for each other's company. Sometimes a baby happens.", I tried.

Probably wasn't the best excuse, but at least it was child friendly. Timothy started crying, so I walked up to my bedroom to nurse him.

He was my entire pride and joy. His little face remind me of his father and his piercing blue eyes, I could almost drown in them. My little Timothy, I would do anything for him to keep him safe and sound from this bad world.

Bastien would fight anyone who dared to step too close to him. He loved his little son. After all the failed attempts, he finally had it.

Enjolras POV

"Where are you going?", my father asked.
"I have some important matters to attend to."

"And those would be?"
"Why do you care?"
"Because you are my son."
"And I am going to see mine.", I blurted out.

My father looked stunned by my words.

"You have a son?"
"Yes. The baby's illegitimate but he's my everything. And if you'll excuse me, I have to go to him and make sure he doesn't get to life as miserable as I do.", I said, storming off.

I got on my horse and rode all the way through the forest. I had decided that I would leave the palace forever, just to be with them. My Annelise had granted me my biggest wish: a baby.

The gender never mattered to me. It was supposed to be healthy and happy. Those were the things that truly mattered. Timothy could inherit the throne and would be a ruler once. But I refuse it. I will not hand him a damaged country, that is not ready to change.

I refuse to see him get hurt.

I got off my horse and knocked on the door. The door opened and saw the entire family at the fireplace.

Her father walked up to me, his face showed no sign of a welcoming man. But then he shook my hand and welcomed me in his family. A real family and I was now a part of it.

He told me that Annelise was nursing our little prince, so I walked up to her bedroom and knocked. A silent 'come in' was all I heard. I walked inside and saw a sleeping Timothy in her arms. I took him from her and held him in mine.

He looked so peaceful. I couldn't believe that I made him. Like literally made him.

It was those little wonders in life, that made my heart swell with pride.
