We were expecting Caroline any second now. I was nervous. I loved my little sister and I wanted her to be happy and not get hurt. A knock rang out and I rushed to the door. My heart was beating fast. I opened the door and Caroline smiled from one ear to another.

She had become a beautiful, young lady. Strawberry blonde hair and green eyes, just like everyone in my family. Her smile was jeweled with her perfect teeth. She was slim and had a similar taste to mine.

"I am so glad to see you sister.", she said.
"So am I. I am really happy to see you."
"May I introduce? Lord Anthony Dormer."

"Lord Dormer, I welcome you to our home. Come inside."

He walked into the living room and Caroline stayed in the back with me.

"What do you think?"
"He seems charming. He has not said a word though.", I whispered.
"He's shy."
"Don't worry, alright?"

Bastien graced us by walking down the stairs with Timothy by his side.

"Your majesty, Lord Dormer.", he said, bowing.

He looked at me and I looked at him. Both were confused as to what just happened. This was awkward.

"Lord Dormer, I am sure you have met my wife."
"Of course, a lovely woman."
"This is my son.", he said.

"Hello little boy.", he greeted.

He seemed to warm up now. I guided Carrie to the couch. I sat her down and dragged Bastien into the kitchen.

"What was that?"
"My sister loves him, alright.", I half-yelled.
"It's alright. I didn't say anything."
"I'm sorry. I don't know what to think of him. I cannot break her heart.", I said.

"She's your sister and she asked you to meet him."
"I know. But what if she hates me afterward? Because I might ruin her life.", I said, freaking out.

"Calm down. You know Caroline very well. You basically raised her. How hard can it be? Just give him a chance. Maybe he's not so bad after all."

I walked out of the kitchen.

"So, Lord Dormer, how did you meet Caroline?"

He began to smile.

"I met Caroline when we were eating lunch together in the university. She was the most beautiful person I've ever seen. I could tell she was a girl. And she didn't refuse when I asked her about it. She's a special girl and I love her.", he explained.

I was happy that he loved and knew about her. He seemed like a great match to her.

"Caroline and I would love to travel across the globe, see the world. Then settle down somewhere, have children and die together peacefully.", he dreamed.

"That sounds lovely. You seem like a very kind man. The perfect match for my beautiful sister. You see, she's very important to me. We've lost someone very close to us."

"Yvonne. She told me."

"Exactly. I just want her to be happy. She's a beautiful spirit and a kind soul.", I said.

Carrie was moved to tears. I got up and hugged her. I whispered that I very much approved of him and that he was a great man. She knew that no matter what happened, she could count on me. If he'd end up being a douche, I would deal with him. And she knew that.
