January 1837

Timothy was now almost 4 years old. It was insane how fast time passed. Bastien and I began planning our wedding. We would marry in 2 years because that's how long we wanted to plan. Yes, a very long time but it will be a wedding we will both never forget.

"Dance with me.", he said, twirling me around the house.

Timothy was laughing and clapping his hands to create some music.

"I am so over dancing. No more balls. That's all I have to say."
"Oh, that's unfortunate."
"What? What did you do?"
"We have a ball tomorrow night?", he said.

"We what?"
"Yes. I figured we should celebrate our union. Almost 10 years."
"You remember?"
"Of course I remember. I will never forget our star.", he said.

Remember when I told you we had a star? It would follow us wherever we go and no matter how upset we were with each other, it would always shine like the brightest of them all.

"What star?"
"It is always the highest and shines the brightest.", he said.

"Can I also have a star?"
"When you meet your special someone."

"Mama, why don't I have siblings?"
"What?"
"Yes, Alfie has a big brother. Why don't I have a little sister or brother?", he asked.

Bastien looked at me and I looked at him.

"Well, we haven't had any alone time.", Bastien blurted out.
"Shut up."
"I want a sibling. A sister would be nice. And can I have her in pink?"

"What?", Bastien asked.
"You cannot get a specific color and if that's possible I want one in red.", he added.

I sometimes wasn't sure whether I had two or just one children.

"I am going to the market. Please, if possible, let everything stand where it does.", I said, before leaving.

Enjolras POV

"Papa, can I go see Delilah and Natalie?", Tim asked.
"Why?"
"So you and Mama can be alone so I can have a sibling."

"Honey, I don't think we can just walk up and say here we are. We need to ask first."

Some alone time with Annelise would be nice. We would definitely need it. I told Tim to pack up his favorite toys and then we left to see Annelise's family. They were very excited to see us.

"Can I stay here so Mama and Papa can have some alone time?", he asked Delilah.

She just looked at me and tried to suppress her laughter.

"Of course little buddy. I can do that.", she said, pushing him into her room.

"What was that?"
"He asked for a sibling. I told him that Annelise and I need alone time if he wanted one."
"Does Annelise know?"
"No."
"She will go crazy."

"Don't worry. I will tell her everything."
"You better do. I hope you're not really trying for a new baby. So shortly before the wedding."
"We won't get married until 1839."
"What's the point of waiting? Caroline had found herself a charming young man and if you think you can go any longer without marrying her, I will die of old age.", she said.

"I am glad for your sister. Who's he?"
"Don't you dare to drop that topic on me! Believe me, Annelise tried that many times and always failed.", she said.

"Great. I must go now. See you tomorrow little buddy, alright? Love you.", I said.
"Love you Papa.", he said.

My heart swelled with pride. Such a handsome, charming young boy that was the sweetest human being, right after his mother. I hurried home.

"Bastien, where were you?"
"Delilah has Tim, we have the day for ourselves."
"What?"
"Yes. Now come inside. Let me show you how much I love and appreciate you.", I said, pulling her inside the house.
