"Well, that's good to hear. The owner will be living in a hotel until you can finish this so is there a way to finish it quickly?"
"If I can get my team, I can have it all done in a week. If he wants the best outcome I'll need at least two weeks and I'll handle most everything myself except for some of the construction."
"Wait, construction?"
"Nothing too big. Just removing some cabinetry and maybe installing some better flooring. The tiles in the bathroom need to be replaced as well as the floor in the kitchen and bedroom. Nothing to serious." I smiled as I watched his flustered face calm down.
"Well I hope you understand I'll be accompanying you until you are finished with this job. I hope that won't be an issue." He smiled at me warmly.
"It shouldn't be an issue at all but I hope you won't be wearing your.. formal attire." I giggled looking at his suit.
"Why wouldn't I be permitted to wearing this?"
"Because there will be paint, dirt and sweat. A lot of it." I couldn't help but laugh. "So when can I get started?"
"Right now if you can. However I guess we should change then shouldn't we?"
"Not necessarily, we just have to cover the furniture in here till we can get help to move them out. We just have to go get some tarps and maybe some man power. We'll start on the dirty work tomorrow."
"Then, let's go get some cloth." He smiled looking around.
"N-no, we don't want to risk spilling paint and it seeping through. I have some tarps at my office that we can go fetch." I walked past him out the door.
-
"You have so much.. stuff in here." He looked around the mess of my office. It was more of a supply room then an office but it was everything I needed.
"Yeah well. It works for me because I don't have to waste any money. I have everything in here, from tarps to ladders, rollers, even the paint itself and some flooring from other houses. I could never find myself to throw them out, when I had before it'd be something I need for a new house and it's just a wasteful process to buy a whole new box for one or two pieces." I shrugged digging through searching for the tarps.
"I can see.. Do you organize your office.. often?" He kept searching the room.
"Not as often as I'd like. I'm only ever in here to grab more stuff or store it. I spend most of my time at the actual houses or trying to fix up my moms house or my apartment. If you could actually see my apartment you'd be in more shock then you are at my office." I smirked watching his eyes travel.
"I'll keep that in mind." He said glancing over one of the ladders laying on it's side.
"So, when do you think I'll be able to meet the owner? I don't know anything about this guy so I'm not sure how to decorate for him." His eyes grew wide as they jumped to me.
"You need to meet with him? I thought you had a hard time talking to people?"
"Well yes. I always meet with the owners to figure out how they like the house to be decorated. I can do a phone confrence if need be but I do need to at least talk with him."
"I'll.. just go call him real quick and find out when he can." He stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him.
"Great, I'll just look for the tarps myself." I sighed as I turned my attention back to the tower of junk. I knew where they were but getting to them was a bit hard by myself since a collection of paint cans were sitting on top of them.
