---Narrators POV---

"Snow, it's Lain. The aircraft is coming closer, it looks to be pulling something behind it. Should we evacuate the area?" Noah Lain said over the two-way radio.

"We need clearance before we can do that. Let me call Mike." Hazel replied, she had hoped to ask some residence of the picture of the man who killed her family but she had no time nor confidence to ask. She switched the station on the two-way before speaking once more. "Mike? There's an unidentified aircraft flying towards my coordinates, pulling something behind it. Do I have permission to evacuate the area?"

"Negative. Keep everyone inside and stay out of sight. We have an aircraft right above it keeping an eye on him right now. We have no clearance to shoot him till he's out of the residential area." He was cutting in and out as he spoke but she understood him well enough.

"Yes sir. I'll keep you informed of the situation here as it carries on. I'm switching back to my stational channel."

"Stay safe Snow." She heard him say as she changed back and told Lain their stances.

"Penkelson? Did you hear that?" Lain asked.

"Yes, I heard. I'm knocking on doors and asking everyone to stay inside and go into their basements until instructed otherwise." Lily Penkelson reponded, she sounded more serious then Hazel had ever heard from her before.

"Least she knows what to do when she has work to do." Hazel whispered to herself as she herself began running from house to house and instructing residents to do the same as Eric and Clara. Before she knew it, she had run out of houses and was back where she started and standing under a tree that was in Erics yard watching the aircraft slowly coming towards her.

"The aircraft will probably pick up on this channel, so don't speak unless absolutely important." Lain said shaking in his boots.

"Got it." Lily responded.

"Understood. Stay out of sight you two." Hazel said looking through the scope on her gun. As the aircraft got close, she realized what it was carrying. A cargo box. Unaware of what was inside it, she kept her eyes on it.

"Hazel?" She heard a whisper, she looked down and saw Clara and Eric running around. Eric trying to drag Clara back into the house but Clara refusing to go anywhere.

"What are you two doing?" Hazel bit her lip as she fought to scream. She jumped down from the tree and picked up Clara throwing her over her shoulder and running back into the house.

"I'm sorry, I wanted to go home. Erics house is scary since the powers out." Clara whined as Hazel threw her onto the carpetted floor and slamming the door shut as soon as Eric was inside.

"I'm sorry, I tried to stop her." Eric panted as he closed the curtains.

"What's more scarier? A dark basement? Or my anger issues holding a damn gun? Because when someone doesn't follow order, I get very angry." Hazel growled stand clenching her gun in her hands.

"I-I" Claras instincts were telling her to scream and run but her fear and shock made her frozen and silent.

"I need to learn to do that." Eric whispered thinking no one heard him.

"I'm not going to say this one more time. Get in the basement and hide until instructed otherwise." Hazel spoke slowly, her accent hypnotizing Eric.

"..." Clara just nodded her head as she scurried and ran back down the stairs.

"You too." Hazel turned to Eric who was just standing there watching her. His eyes traveled down when his thoughts shook him awake when he saw a picture poking out of her pocket.

"What's that? Your family?"

"What?" She looked down to where he was pointing. "No, just get in the basement." She grabbed his arm and shoved him in the direction of the basement.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"

"Please listen to me." She said once more, her presence floated away in her moment of pleas and he nodded his head and walked into the basement with Clara and his mother.

"I'm sorry again." He looked up from where he was sitting.

"Don't worry about it.. He's not family, he's someone I just need to find." She spoke silently before closing the door.

She ran out the door and back to her spot in the trees. Eric sat and thought. If it wasn't family she was looking for then who was it? He recognized the picture she kept in her pocket, or at least the face of the man that was poking out. It was his father.
