"Nate.." He whispered sitting next to me.

"I know, I should go apologize. I will I just.."

"You barely even met Sarina, and you already care for her so much." I looked over to see a smirk spread on his face.

"Well yeah, you did the same thing and you just officially met her. You cared about her the second you heard her crying on the phone." I rolled my eyes.

"I'm just happy, you finally know why I was so worried about her. I'm also happy because she has a new friend and so do you and Leo." He patted my back as he stood up.

"After I saw her in those clothes.. my heart broke more then I could explain. If I can get that woman to understand the reality of what's happening then maybe she won't act like I did, selfishly." I sighed as I stood up.

"We can't make her do anything. Besides, Leo's looking into the DNA issue next. I'm sure everything will get figured out for the best." He walked back into the room where Sarina was rubbing her temples.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I sat next to her.

"Yeah, my head just keeps pounding." She whispered as Leo and Louis started talking.

"Maybe you need some fresh air?" I asked as I extended my hand.

"No, I can't leave Bec alone." She shook her head.

"She's not alone love. Leo and I are here. Go take a few moments to yourself." Louis smiled.

"Yeah, she's fine with us. We'll keep her safe." Leo smiled as he started typing on his laptop.

"Uh, okay?" She took my hand and stood up. We walked out the door and out the side door of the hospital and stood in the sunshine.

"I love hearing the birds." I smiled as I saw birds flying around the trees.

"Yeah, they sound lovely don't they?" She had the lightest smirk.

"So what are your plans after Bec wakes up and he gets locked away for life?" I turned to her.

"Well, after everything, I'm going to take her to Ireland. My family is from Ireland and everytime she hears their accents she's always so excited and wants to move there." She dropped her head with a smile on her face.

"Maybe you could come to London too? It's pretty nice there, I think she'd like it." I sat on the bench and sighed.

"I just hope we can." I looked up to see she held a few tears.

"Come and sit." I patted the seat next to me. She sat down and held her arms close to her chest. "What are you scared of?" I asked.

"I'm scared of her not waking up, I'm scared he'll end up winning and I'll get sent to prison." She sobbed more.

"No, what are you scared of in this moment? What is it that's making you think those can happen?" I tucked her loose hair behind her ears.

"..each day, her heart monitor is just a tad bit slower. Her brain activity is still minimum and.. I'm scared that one of these days instead of hearing her heart beating, I'll only hear that single beep." She dropped her hands on her lap.

"Each day, you're closer to locking her father up for life. Each day you're closer to being able to get past this with more ease because you have us standing behind you. You're so strong for being able to go through this. I want to help you, not because I feel sorry for you, but because I care about you."

"Why do you care about me? You just met me today." She lifted her head and met her tear stained gaze with mine.

"I just.. do. Louis wasn't kidding when he said you were beautiful but you're so much more then that. No woman I've ever met would be able to go through what you're going through and still be able to smile at the singing birds. Bec is lucky to have you as her mother." I wrapped my arms around her and held her as she cried into my chest.
