---Annas POV---

"Paul? Can you help me paint the top of this wall?" I called out as I heard the door click.

"After we take a break to eat. I got lunch." I hopped off the ladder leaving the paintbrush on the pan.

"Why didn't you bring me?" I smiled as he set down the bag on the counter.

"I got some pizza, burgers and some fried rice. You said you wanted all of this right?" He turned around to go back outside.

"Well yeah but not all at once. This is a lot... You didn't need to get this much." I smiled pullling out containers of food.

"Well, I wasn't sure exactly what you wanted. You said whatever and I remember you saying all of this was your favorite." He came back in with a pizza in his hands closing the door behind him.

"Still, we're not going to be able to eat all of this ourselves. Maybe most of it, knowing my appetite." I giggled digging into the fried rice.

"Then I'm glad I'm starving as well. Let's dig in." His smile seemed to grow as I giggled. His smile only seemed to warm me. I noticed my heart was pounding around him more.

-

"I can't believe you managed to finish all of that.." I looked at the empty containers laying on the tarp over the counter.

"That was nothing compared to you. You have the stomach of a viking." He laughed as he took a sip of his water.

"I know I can eat a lot but you had half of a medium pizza, a burger and even some fried rice. I'm used to eating a lot because I use a lot of energy." I couldn't help but laugh at him as he wiped his mouth.

"You had just as much, but even more rice then me, not to mention the four bottles of water." He stood up from the stool and stretched. "I'm tired now."

"That's what happens when you eat a bunch of good food. You're ready for a nap but you're going to help me finish painting the top of that wall." I rolled my eyes and gathered all the trash.

"A nap does sound lovely right now." His chuckle filled the room.

"Well we can nap in the car when we're done for the day. After we're done painting we need to remove all the tarps. Tomorrow we're going shopping for furniture." I tossed the garbage into the bin before running to the new office space.

"Nap in the car? If anything I'd like to nap on your mothers couch. I almost dozed off sitting there waiting for you this morning."

"You should feel how comfortable my bed is. That couch is like a rock in comparison." I walked into the room to see him blushing standing on the ladder. "Are you okay?"

"Huh? Oh sorry, I was just thinking.. anyways, what were you planning on doing after you get the promotion? I mean I know you'll mainly be in sales but will you still be trying to do all of this stuff yourself?"

"I don't know.. Honestly I don't want to leave this job. I'm happy where I am but I don't really have a choice. The position I was applying for won't allow me any free time to actually decorate and it makes me really sad." I grabbed a roller and started on another wall.

"What if you just ask for a raise?"

"I have. My department can't afford any more money going into just the decorating. Regardless of how many homes I have done it's just not in the budget. I don't want to be the reason the company starts falling in if the budgetting starts getting all whacked.

"That doesn't sound right. Most of the budget that we get is from the designing department. If you need a raise then you should get it. Other departments shouldn't be getting any income from your department. If the other departments are losing money then someone needs to be looking into that. Those departments are the reason the company is going out of whack."
