"How much longer will we need to travel?" I asked laying in the tent Micheal had set up.
"A few more days. Maybe even a week." He was fidgeting with the fire outside of the tent.
"Can you tell me now why we had to leave?"
"What do you remember from our life?"
"I remember meeting you.. I remember introducing you to the witch and I remember we had to run from her."
"The reason we had to run from her is because of a war."
"That man I ran into, he mentioned something of a war lasting for the last sixty years?"
"..I see he did tell you then."
"Tell me what? That's literally all he told me, there was a war and to be careful who I speak to."
"There is a war between humans and witches. You are the adopted daughter of a very powerful witch and that man was a witch."
"Wait, like real witches that practice witchcraft or the old women that yell at any and everybody? Because I thought the witch that raised me was the second option."
"Witchcraft I'm afraid. You and I both have been called into battle against them but you couldn't fight the woman who raised you and I am not willing to leave you." He stared into the fire with a deep sadness.
"I'm sorry Micheal.. I-I didn't know."
"I know you don't but there has to be a part of you that does remember. It's infuriating that I can't have my wife." He stood up and kicked a rock so far it caused damage to a tree about ten feet away.
"I..I don't know what to say.."
"Just get some sleep. I'm just... thinking right now." He sighed. I rolled my eyes and rolled over laying on the matt. I heard his footsteps for the remainder of the night. My eyes fluttered shut with tears after I felt his warmth behind me finally.

"Elizabeth!" I jumped awake after hearing Micheals scream. I jumped up and out of the tent and almost fainted at the horrorous sight in front of me. The woman who raised me, she was standing there.. holding Micheal by his throat.
"Let him go!" I screamed throwing a nearby rock at her.
"El-Elizabeth? You dare hurt me?" She dropped Micheal to the ground, granted he was only an inch away his height did not help his fall.
"You were hurting him. I will protect him from anything!" The words came out of my mouth with no control.
"I gave up so much of my life for you. I knew you'd never be a witch but I still expected more of you." She looked to the ground in dissapointment.. the same stare I used to get from my dad..
In my flash of a memory Micheal stood to his feet attempting to tackle her to the ground. She was quick and moved out of the way making him fall to the ground in front of me. I ran in front of him blocking the way so she wouldn't hurt him.
"Please.. don't do this.." I cried feeling my chest wanting to explode.
"If you will not move.." She took a step closer and grabbed my face. "You're not my Elizabeth. Has she abandoned her body?" She let go of my face and took a step back.
"W-What?" I almost dropped to my knees in shock. She was the first person who noticed I wasn't really Elizabeth.
"You have the same soul.. can you be from another life?" She closed the distance between us and grabbed my neck with one hand and the other landed on my chest.
