"Elizabeth? Wake up.. Elizabeth?" I woke up to Micheal standing over me, he was holding me.

"What happened?" I looked around and saw the boar laying on the ground.

"I do not know, you just fell. Are you alright my love?"

"You know.. I don't actually mind hearing that now." I laughed grabbing my head feeling pain swim inside of my skull.

"Let's get home before you get sick. Next time we'll take the horses." He picked me up and held me with one arm, he had me sitting on his arm while he picked up the boar and the cotton and started walking.

"I'm okay to walk now. It was probably just low blood pressure. I haven't eaten anything yet today so my body's just freaking out." I shook my head remembering this happened at school a lot. Sometimes I'd avoid eating breakfast just so I could skip. I didn't have diabetes, just a very scary blood pressure.

"Are you sure?" He stopped and looked up to me.

"I'm sure. I'll keep a hold of your arm though." I smiled as he placed me gently on the ground.

"Take your time. I do not wish to carry you back unconscious."

"Don't worry about me. It was just a dizzy spell or something."

"Spell?"

"It's what the doctor told me when I had to go see him for a diabetes check up."

"What are diabetes?"

"That's kind of a hard question.. Diabetes is the condition when food doesn't properly process food to be used as energy. Most of the food we eat is turned into gloucose, or surgar for our bodies to use as energy. An organ in our bodies that is near the stomach, the pancreas, makes a hormone called insulin to help glucose get into the cells of our bodies. Without that insulin we don't have energy. Does that make any sense?"

"Absolutely... not. I'm lost."

"Okay, let me put it an easier way.. when we eat, we get energy and get stronger right?"

"That is how it works yes."

"People with diabetes, even if they eat, can't get that energy and get strong. Their bodies don't process food like yours does."

"Do you have diabetes? Is there some way to help it?"

"I do not have it. I've been getting tested for it yearly for the last three years. My blood pressure just spikes or falls sometimes when I don't eat. It's nothing to worry about." I sighed as we approached the cottage. He opened the door for me and lead me inside.

"This place is very familiar.." I whispered as I looked around. Earlier I didn't really look around the house much but it felt like home to me.

"Familiar? Something with a family?"

"Oh, no. I just feel like I remember this place."

"I'm glad nonetheless. I'll skin the boar outside after I warm up a bit." He placed the boar on the floor next to the door. I removed the boots and left them by the door.

"These boots are useless. My feet are freezing." I took off the cloak and laid it on one of the chairs and sat tucking my toes under my knees, sort of a criss-cross-applesauce type deal, then leaned against the table.

"I'm sorry. Those were the best I could find for womens small feet."

"My feet aren't that small, they're only a size seven." I rubbed my arms and sighed, I could feel goosebumps but I didn't feel cold.

"Do you remember how to start the fire?"

"I was always told not to play with fire.. I do not, no."
