I was so tired. I couldn't keep my eyes open. I was sitting on the couch in my apartment trying to watch this new show everyone has been bugging me to watch but I just couldn't manage. I sighed as I turned it off and laid down where I was sitting, hearing the neighbors dog bark and bickering from the other neighbors, no matter how many noise complaints I filed, nothing was ever done about it. I rolled my eyes and placed the pillow over my face and drifted off to sleep.

I woke up and stretched, for once it was quiet, I was thinking of going to lay down in my bed till I looked at the clock on my wall. It was ten in the morning. I looked out my window to see absolutely no sunlight? It was just as dark as it was the night before. I shrugged my shoulders thinking my clock was broken till I saw the clock on my phone also said it was ten in the morning. I shook my head and looked outside again. As I looked around I saw something big, and round in the sky, a planet looked to be coming closer but I was unsure of which planet it was. I slapped myself hoping it was just a dream but I felt the sting. I grabbed my phone and dialed nine-one-one with no success, the lines were down. I took a deep breath before attempting to call my mom, same issue.

I ran outside of my apartment grabbing my coat, I ran to my neighbors door and banged on the door, no answer. "Hello? Are you home?" I called banging on the door some more. The lights in the hall flickered, making my anxiety build. I thought I heard whispers for help from the other side of the door so I kicked it in, no one was home, not even the dog.

I repeated running from door to door to see if anyone was home, no one was anywhere to be found. I stopped at the front desk of my apartments and grabbed the radio and tried to listen for any emergencies but I could only find static. I poked my head out the front door to see the same sight I was hoping was only a dream. The streets were filled with fog, but the sky was clear despite the planet rushing towards me.

"Hello?" I called out hoping somebody was out there. As all the others, no repose. I held my breath and closed the door locking it. My anxiety was terrible so being able to venture out and explore to attempt to figure out what was happening was not going to happen anytime soon.

After days of the same thing, waking up to see that planet approaching closer, only darkness, I stayed up for twenty four hours hoping that maybe the sun would shine past it on one of it's sides and maybe I could have some brightness but there was nothing but the night sky, that planet, the fog and deafening silence. I wished for nothing more then to hear that damn dog yapping at all hours of the night and the other neighbors screaming at the top of their lungs, even the traffic which I detested. I was running out of food, so I managed to break into the neighbors apartments and raid their kitchens. I felt bad about it but I couldn't handle going out into that fog. Terror was one of my weak points and that was more then terrifying.

"H-Hello?" I heard a voice call out as I was walking back upstairs to my apartment. I froze where I stood with my arms full of food. It was a girls voice. My heart pounded in my chest, apart of me wanted to drop the food and run to her while the other part of me wanted to run to my apartment and lock the door behind me.

"Is anyone here? I thought I saw somebody walking around in here?" I stepped back and into one of the apartments placing the food on the floor. I closed the door as silent as I could manage and looked out the peep whole.

"Hello?" She called out again. She started walking down the hall, she was fairly tall with black hair and black clothing.

I stepped back and watched her shadow sway back and forth under the door. My heart almost exploded as it vanished and I realized I'd be alone again if she left but my fear wouldn't let me move. Something about her didn't seem right.
