"So when did you want to get started on the tutoring?" Brady asked as he started washing his bowl in the sink.
"We can start right now, and you don't have to do that. We have a dish washer." I opened the dishwasher and placed my empty dirty bowl in the bottom rack.
"Oh, well then." He leaned over and placed it in there next to mine.
"You two go ahead and study or tutor or whatever. I'm gonna go to the store and get some shopping done. I'll be back in an hour or so, we can have some ice cream when I get back." My aunt smiled as she placed the left overs in the fridge.
"Okay, we'll be in my room." I said walking to my room.
"See you in a few!" She called out as she walked out the front door.
"She really trusts you doesn't she?" Brady said walking into my room with his bag.
"Yeah, we're more friends then relatives. Besides we're just studying right? You can sit wherever." I sat in my big chair next to my mirror.
"Fair point. My mom would never just leave me with a girl in my room though. Not even my dad would do that." He sat in my desk chair and pulled out his books.
"A lot of parents are like that. My mom and aunt are really calm though, my mom says the more freedom I have the better choices I'll make for myself. Seems to have worked pretty well so far."
"Sounds like good logic to me. Oh hey, if you never noticed I lived across from you, did you know that my room is right across from yours?"
"Is it really?"
"Yeah, come here." He pointed his finger out the window. I got up and walked over and looked where he was pointing. "You see the room with the bed in front of the window? That's my room." He was right. Directly across from mine.
"Oh. Good to know. I'll be getting curtains for when I'm changing." I blushed thinking of all the times I've danced in my underwear in my room.
"Don't think too much about it. I don't watch you, I'm not a stalker." He snickered opening his book.
"Doesn't quite make me feel better but alright." I sat down and grabbed my book.
"If it makes you feel better I've only seen you dancing like an idiot once. I avoid looking in here since then." He laughed at me.
"THAT DOESN"T MAKE ME FEEL BETTER AT ALL!" I threw my hood on and tightened the straps of my hood over my head.
"I was joking! Come on, let's get to work." He laughed as he spun around in my chair with his book in his lap.
-
"This doesn't make any sense!" I whined plopping on my bed.
"It can't be that bad. Have you tried it the way I showed you?"
"Honestly..no. I couldn't understand the way you showed me so I just winged it."
"..but you got it right?"
"What?" I sat up and looked at him.
"You did. It's right." He turned around and examined my paper. "All the work is right too."
You're joking right? There's no way that could be right?" I stood up and hovered over him.
"You're hairs in my way.."
"Oh sorry. I stood up and wrapped my hair into a bun before looking over him again.
"You're good. Your hair smells like vanilla?"
