Almost like back then (JJK fanfic)

Chapter 8

***Next evening***

We all meet at my place and we asked Hyun Woo's older sister to drive us there because her boyfriend is working in tonight's event behind the stage and because the concert hall is a bit far from my place. When we get there, we split up. We go to take our seats and Hyun Woo's sister goes to her boyfriend.

 A lady from our school gets on a stage greets us all, thanks everyone for coming here and so on. And then she reads out the list of tonight's performers, naming Blackpink and BTS as the last ones. And then the event starts. 

For the most part, the performers are sort of boring. And then it's time for last two. Before Blackpink enters the stage, Hong Bin says:"Do you guys wanna do a bet for the last two? And the one who loses has to host a sleepover and pay for everything in the sleepover." I agree and say:"So you guys are saying that these two are good? Fine. I say they're amateurs and won't be good. Deal." We shake on it and then Blackpink enters the stage. And they surprise me a lot because one of those people is Jungkook's girlfriend Lisa. It's Lisa and her friends. What?

I recognise the faces from school. Lisa and her brunette friend Rose is from mine and Jungkook's class and their friends Jennie and Jisoo are sisters who are in the 11th and 12th year, they're older than all of my friends. They all grab microphones, introduce themselves and then they start performing a cover of the song "Sure thing". And for my surprise, they are amazing. To the point my jaw drops. Especially Lisa. They are soo good, what? It's unfair. 

When they finish, the crowd claps a lot, me included. I look at boys and say:"Fine, I'll give it to you, they were amazing. But there's still that BTS performance left. They still have the chance of being bad." Hong Bin says:"I doubt it, prepare your money, Min Lee." I sigh and then turn my attention back to the stage. 

But if Blackpink and Lisa were a surprise, then what happens next doesn't even stand close. 

Because when they call out BTS, the first to go out on stage is Jungkook. 

Jungkook and then his friends. And they perform Perfect man. 

If Blackpink was amazing, then BTS is that times 1000. They are so good and they all look amazing. My mouth is open the entire time. Because it's Jungkook. Performing. I mean, his friends are all amazing as well. But as I know and I know it well, Jungkook never sang to anyone. He was always too shy. He only ever sang to me. And...this song that they're performing. It's my favourite song. And he knows that. Because he sang it to me a couple times whenever I felt down. He knows that when he sings to me it always makes me smile. 

I look at Jungkook and I notice he looks at me. I don't even notice the fact that I'm crying until the song ends. I quickly stand up and exit the concert hall and go out in the open. I squat down and take a few breaths trying to calm down, tears running down my cheeks. I bite my lip trying to stop crying and try to breath. 

A couple moments later I notice Jungkook. He runs up to me and squats down and grabs my hand. "Oh my god, Min Lee. Are you okay?" I just look up at him and hug him. He hugs me back and we stand up while still hugging. But I hear footsteps approaching so I let go of him and take a few steps back. But it's just his friends who are joining us. Jungook looks at me and asks me:"Are you okay, Min Lee? What happened?"

I smile and look at him then say:"The song. And you were singing." He smiles and says:"Yes, I know. It's your favourite. That's why we chose it." He looks at his friends and says:"Guys, meet Min Lee. My best friend since childhood. Min Lee, meet the guys. That's Jimin, Taehyung, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jin, and Namjoon."

Guys say hi to me and then the one whose name is Jimin asks:"Oh, the Min Lee that you told us so much about? It's her favourite song? That's why you wanted to sing it so much. Hi, I'm Jimin." He approaches me with an outreached hand. I look at him and I realise that almost all of the time they were performing, I was looking at him. And now I can't stop looking at him. 

"Why are you looking at me like that," he asks. And I accidentally blurt out:"You're really really cute. Handsome, really." I realise what I just said and cover my face while Jimin blushes and guys yell in shock. "Aww, look, she likes you, Chimmy," "you hear that? you 're handsome" and other phrases come from the boys while I just take a step back and apologise, my face tomato red. 

Lisa walks out and runs up to Jungkook and hugs him. "Honey, you were wonderful. Odd choice for the song but still amazing. You guys were great." She looks at me and asks:"What did you think, Min Lee? Wasn't they awesome? Well, what did you think, tell me."

The guy named Taehyung steps forward and teasingly says:"SHE thinks that JIMIN is really really cute. Really handsome. Don't you, Min Lee?" Lisa looks at my red face and blushing Jimin who is busy hitting Taehyung and then says:"Oh I see. Anyways, you guys were really good."

I step forwards and say:"Hey, Lisa? I wanted to say that you were really good too. I liked it." She smiles and thanks me and then turns her attention back to Jungkook.
