Chapter 21

***A few days later, in Korea***

"And that's it! This is how snowboarding is done." Jin demonstrates. I smile, then I say, "Jin oppa, you make it sound so easy, but it's not." Jin smiles and says, "You'll be fine. The main thing is to understand the basics." I stand up and do it. I strap the snowboard to my feet and Jin helps. The others stand aside and look at the two of us. Jin says, "Guys, can someone help her the first time?? She's going to fall and she just needs someone to help her stand up."

Jimin agrees and then Jin steps forward a little. He looks at me and asks, "Are you ready??" I smile and nod. Jin starts to ride slowly and I follow him. For the first minute and a half to two minutes, Jimin has to hold me, but then I say, "Wait. Let go. I'm going to try it myself." Jimin looks at me and asks, "Are you sure??" I nod, then Jimin looks at Jin and Jin says, "Let her. Falling is part of learning."

I smile and Jimin lets go of me. Jin starts to go faster and I follow. I smile broadly when I manage to start snowboard on my own without Jimin's help. I turn around like Jin demonstrated and start doing it just like him. Jin smiles and says, "Heyy, kid. You're doing it." I smile broadly and start going faster.

Jin notices this and smiles a little wider. I smile slyly and then start to go even faster. Jin winks at me and says, "Oh it's on." I turn to one side and that allows me to speed up. I start to go faster than Jin and he gets confused. After a few seconds I reach the bottom of the hill and take the chairlift back without waiting for Jin.

When I get to the top of the hill, I decide to wait for Jin. When he comes up, he says, "What the hell?? How??" I smile and say, "Beginner's luck??" Jin says, "It's not beginner's luck. Are you secretly doing this as a hobby??" I laugh and say, "No, I promise it's my first time. Jungkook, tell him."

Jungkook says, "Oh yeah. She doesn't like winter and winter activities. It was hard to even get her out of the house usually in the winters. How she's here is a question I don't have the answer to." I laugh and then say, "Jin oppa, maybe you're just getting old. You're old, sorry." He looks at me and says, "Yah. I'm only a couple of years older than you." I shrug and say, "I don't know." Then I drive down the hill a few more times.

***Around two hours later***

When I get back up, Jimin says, "Min Lee. Let's go eat." I take off my helmet and remove the hair tie from my hair, letting my hair down. I shake my head, letting my hair fall freely. When I push my hair out of my face, I notice Jimin and the others staring at me. I blush and ask, "What??" Jimin smiles and says, "You're stunningly beautiful." I laugh and shyly say, "Ohh, thanks, Chimmy oppa."

He looks at me for a while longer and then says, "Anyways, let's go eat." I smile and say, "Go without me. I want to stay here and practice more. I'm practicing something, I'll show you later." Jimin looks at me and says, "Min Lee. We've been here for hours." I smile and say, "I know, yeah. But I want to practice more now."

He says, "Fine. But come eat soon. We'll be waiting for you." I smile, nod, and while Jimin is still standing, I quickly fix my hair, put on my helmet, and quickly drive away, leaving Jimin staring at me and admiring me.

***After about two and a half hours***

Jimin says, "Yah, Min Lee. What the hell??" I take off my helmet and ask, "What??" Jimin says, "What?? First of all, you don't come to lunch, then you move to the other end of this resort, and then you don't answer your calls?? You know, we were worried." I step off the platform, take the board off my feet, and say, "Sorry. I got a little carried away."

I give Jimin a sweet smile and he can't stop the smile that appears on his face. However, after a few seconds, he says, "No, stop smiling! I'm mad at you!" I approach him and hug him, then say in a sweet voice, "Oppa. Excuse me, please?? Big please??" I look at him with puppy eyes, he sighs, hugs me back, smiles and says, "I hate you, Min Lee." I smile at him more and say:"Nah, you love me, admit it." He sighs and agrees.
