Chapter 28

***A couple of weeks later***

"Jungkook, I don't want to be with you if you can't trust me, even though we've been together for four years. Not four weeks, not four months. Four years, Jungkook. I'm tired of arguing with you about this. It's always the same." Jungkook says, "Well, what do you want me to do??" I look at him slowly and say, "Maybe we should just take a break." He runs his hand through his hair and says, "Okay, let's go get some ice cream, calm down, we can finish this later."I say, "No, Jungkook....take a break from us." He freezes, then looks at me and storms out of the apartment. I take a deep breath and sit up, then run my hand through my hair.

~Jungkook's POV~

I quickly leave the apartment building and start walking towards the club. I was invited to the club this morning by Jimin and Taehyung, but I thought I was going to spend the evening with Min Lee, but apparently that's not the case, so I'm going to the club with them.

I get to the club a few minutes later. I go inside and soon find them both at the bar. I sit down next to them and Jimin says, "Hey. What are you doing here? I thought you were going to Min Lee's place and you guys were looking at apartments together?" I look at him and say, "Yeah, well.....I think we just broke up."

Jimin's eyes widen and he asks, "WHAT??" Taehyung stands up and quickly orders a bunch of drinks, then comes back and sits down on the other side of me. Jimin asks, "What happened??" I don't want to talk about it." They bring us our many drinks and I quickly down several shots in a row. I take another one and am about to drink it, but then Jimin takes it from me, puts it aside and says, "Jungkook."

I look at him, take the shot from his hand and drink it. Jimin says, "Talk to me, Kookie." I tell him everything and Jimin says, "I think you're making a mistake, Jungkook. Call her. Call her now before it's too late." I agree, stand up and want to go to a quieter corner.

I stand in the corner and unlock my phone, then start calling Min Lee. After a few seconds she answers and says, "Jungkook. Hey. I was about to call you. Uhhh...." I say, "Min Lee, listen. I wanted to apologize...." Suddenly I hear a guy's voice in the background asking in English: "Min Lee, what kind of sushi do you want?" I freeze and ask: "Min Lee, is that Andy??" She's silent for a moment and then says: "Yeah, but Kookie, he came because I wanted to talk to someone. That's all."

I angrily say: "I understand everything," then angrily hang up the phone. I go back to the bar and sit down, then say: "Andy is with her right now." Jimin says: "And then??" I look at him angrily and say: "You have to be on my side." Jimin says: "I'm not on either side." I get up, quickly drink a couple more shots and then say: "I'm going to dance."

I get to the dance floor and start dancing strangely by myself until a girl suddenly comes up to me. She says: "Hey, cutie. "Can I join in??" I look at her. She's wearing a dress with a big V-neckline that ends a little below her bottom. I smile and say, "Sure." And that's how I ruined everything.

***The next morning***

I wake up on the floor in my bedroom with a headache. I sit up and rub my aching head. I stand up and walk out into the living room. There I see the girl from the club I danced with the night before. She smiles, takes off my shirt, puts her dress back on, and says, "Good morning, cutie."I ask, "What time is it??" She laughs and says, "You have a phone in your pocket, look." I pull my phone out of my jeans pocket and look at the clock. 10 AM. I notice I have a new voicemail, so I unlock my phone and start playing it, and I realize it's from Min Lee.

"Hey, Jungkookie. I feel bad about what happened yesterday. I made a mistake. I love you too much to end things like this. There's nothing we can't get through. I'll come over at 10 in the morning, I want to talk about life. I hope you'll be home and want to talk to me. Again... I love you, Jungkookie."

I look at my phone and say, "Of course I want to talk to you and I love you too." I stare at my phone for a moment and then I slowly realize what she said. My eyes widen and I quickly straighten up, then I turn to the girl and say, "You need to leave quickly, my girl will be here in a moment."

She says, "Okayy." I run to the apartment door and open it, about to push the girl out, but I freeze when I see Min Lee standing there. I quickly push the girl away from the door so Min Lee doesn't see her. Min Lee smiles and says, "Good morning. Can I come in??" I say, "Sure."She comes in and hugs me. She says, "I'm sorry about yesterday. I regret what I said. I reacted the wrong way. You're right, I'll tell Andy to go home, okay?? Can you forgive me??" I take a deep breath and say, "Yes, of course." She says, "We are us, there's nothing we can't overcome."She hugs me tighter and I feel my throat tighten with guilt. I turn her so she can't see the door and show the girl to go away. She nods and quietly sneaks out and then I close the door. I smile at Min Lee and hug her tighter. She says, "I love you, oppa." I swallow and say, "I love you too, Min Lee."

Min Lee pulls away after a moment and says, "Anyway, I have to go now. I stopped by your place on my way to the doctor, now I'm going to continue on my way to the doctor." I nod and say, "Okay, good luck there." She smiles, nods, and then walks out of my apartment.She closes the apartment door and I turn away from the door. I run my fingers through my hair and growl, "Fuck." I look around and smash a mug on myself in anger. It shatters and I take a deep breath. "I'm such an idiot," I keep thinking to myself.
