Chapter 32

***About an hour later***

~Jimin POV~

I wake up to Min Lee sitting up and crying. I know she's been having a lot of nightmares lately, so I hug her and let her cry it out. Taehyung squeezes her hand comfortingly and sighs. It's good to finally see that Min Lee is actually sleeping and not just pretending or not sleeping. And so she lies on our laps for a few hours, because no one wants to move her or risk waking her up.

***A few months later***

~Min Lee POV~

"Come on, it'll be fun, I promise." Jimin pulls me into the big house by the hand. I sigh and say, "Ugh, fine. But only for you." I keep holding his hand and Jimin can feel me shaking. He says, "Heyy, let's spend an hour here first. If you don't like it, then we'll leave. If you like it, then we'll stay. Okayy??"

I nod and say, "Yeah, yeah, fine." Then I look at the big house with the pool and ask, "Who owns this house anyway?? It looks really expensive." Jimin replies, "My friend. His name is Lee Taemin. He's also a very close friend of your brother, by the way." I nod and say, "Aaaa, Taemin oppa?? Very cool."

Jimin smiles and then turns and looks behind us, then asks, "Where's Tae??" I say, "He probably went flirting with girls." Jimin nods and says, "Don't worry, at this party you only know me and Tae...I don't think you know anyone else." I say, "Okay then. I don't want to meet anyone I know."

***Later***

After we've been sitting in the kitchen for about half an hour, Jimin says, "Okay, time to go out to the pool, y'know?" I look at him and reluctantly say, "...okayy." He smiles and says, "Come on. It's summer outside. Let's enjoy the heat while it's still there. We should enjoy the fact that it's warm even in the evenings." We get up and go out into the yard, where there's a pool and a lot of people.

My heart is beating really fast and Jimin can feel me getting nervous. He looks at me and says, "Heyy, it's okayy. Only half an hour left, okayy??" I nod and swallow. We go sit by the pool. Jimin sits on the edge and crosses his legs, but I take off my sandals and dip my feet in the pool. Water always calms me down, so now I relax a little and smile.

Jimin smiles, seeing how I even smiled, and says, "See?? It's a whole different thing, seeing you relax." I nod and we start talking. Jimin says, "Before that, I saw Taehyung go upstairs with that girl in the red dress and......" He wants to mention something about her body and so I say, "With the red dress and the really pretty face. Got it." He understands what I did and nods. Then he says, "So at least we know where he is."

I nod and take a deep breath. Now that I'm more relaxed, I grin, put my hand in the pool, and suddenly splash Jimin. He looks at me and his mouth widens in surprise. He raises an eyebrow when I splash him again, and then says, "Oh, that's what we do, huh??" He grins and splashes me back. I laugh and start wiping water off my face as Jimin splashes me again.

I pretend to be sad, and Jimin immediately leans over me. He says, "Oh my god. Are you okay?? What happened??" I look at him with wide eyes and then push him into the water. He jumps out of the water, starts laughing, and as he brushes his hair back from his face, he says, "Yah. Choi Min Lee." He gets out of the pool and says, "Well, that wasn't fair. Now you're getting it."

I stand up and start to back away. I laugh and look at him with big eyes. I say, "Chimmy oppa, please forgive me. It wasn't on purpose. I accidentally pushed you, I promise." Jimin grins and says, "Sure. I'll accidentally push you too now." I start to back away faster, but I'm no match for Jimin. He runs over to me, wraps me in a wet hug, and we both fall into the water together.When we float to the surface, we look at each other and start laughing. He swims over to me and is about to wrap me in a hug when I suddenly hear a voice that makes my heart stop for a second. "Min Lee??" I freeze, but then slowly turn around and look towards the edge of the pool. And my heart starts to beat fast.

I say, "Jungkook....." Jimin coughs and says, "I'm going to go change," then gets out of the pool and leaves. I swim to the edge and am about to get out, but Jungkook offers me his hands. I take them and he pulls me out of the pool. He grabs a towel from a nearby chair and covers me with it. I silently thank him and then we sit on a bench nearby. Jungkook looks at me and asks, "Uhh, how are you??"

I think to myself, "You mean, apart from the fact that I wanted to die every day from how much I missed you and how much it hurt?? Apart from the fact that since the breakup I've lost over 15 kg, I have scars on my arms and I don't sleep or eat much??" I smile and answer, "Uhh, normal...." However, Jungkook knows I'm lying.

He knows and he feels guilty, but he doesn't say anything to me. I push my hair out of my face and grit my teeth. He looks at me and says, "Uh...you look good." I smile weakly and say, "Thank you." Then I look at him quickly and quietly say, "You look good yourself." He smiles and says, "That's good."

There's a moment of silence, then Jungkook looks at me again and says, "Honestly, uh...I missed you a lot......I still love you, Min Lee!" My heart starts to hurt again and tears well up in my eyes. I blink them away and then look at him and touch my ear with my left hand, like I do when I'm worried. I say, "Jungkook...."

He says, "Yeah, I know...." He starts to look away from my face and is about to start looking at the ground again when suddenly he notices my left arm, where I have scars from intentionally hurting myself. He freezes and I look where he's looking. I quickly lower my arm and swallow. He says, "Min Lee...." I open my mouth to say something, but then Jimin comes and saves me. He says, "Min Lee. I brought you some dry clothes from the car." I stand up and grab my clothes, then I look at Jungkook and ask, "Can we talk later when I get back??"

Jungkook smiles weakly and says, "Okayy, yeah, sure." Jimin puts his hand on my back and leads me to a room where I can change. While I'm changing, I think a lot about what Jungkook said... I realize that I want to give us - me and him - another chance. When I leave the room, I tell Jimin what I've come up with, and he looks at me and says, "Really??"

I nod and he smiles. We walk back to the first floor and while Jimin carries the wet clothes to the car, I go to look for Jungkook. I walk around and look where he might be. I spot him a few meters away on the other side of the pool and smile. I'm already starting to walk towards him when something happens that breaks my heart. Some girl goes up to him and passionately kisses him. 

I freeze for a second and then quickly turn around and run away and hide myself behind the house where I burst out in tears.
