                                           Harper POV

"Sure come in, come in, sit" Tony said

I sat on the couch, setting the bag on the floor,

"I'll go make some tea," Pepper said

I nodded,

"Alright kid what seems to be the problem," Tony said

"Tony I'm twenty one you don't need to call me kid," I said

"Yeah, well your still a kid in my eyes," Tony said

"Well I guess I shouldn't be best friends with such an old me," I mumbled

He chuckled

"Now what is this about?" He asked sitting down next to me,

I sighed,

"Tony I don't know what to do," I said burring my face in my hands,

"She called me yesterday," I said taking my hands away from my face,

He scowled,

You see Tony witnessed my family once, talking down at me, yelling at me gripping my arm tightly that would cause bruises,

For a while after he witnessed it, I avoided him, his calls and when I seen him I would walk the other way,

But finally he trapped me, and talked to me, telling me he understands and wanted to help, ever since then Tony has been my go to, especially when it came to my family,

"Your mother?" He said

I nodded

He scoffed,

"What did she want?" He said

"She wanted me to pay off my brother's student loan and the parental loan they took out," I said looking down at my balled up fists,

"Oh Harp please tell me you didn't," He said

"Not this time.." I mumbled

"What do you mean this time?" he asked

"Well umm," I stumbled knowing my mistake,

"Harper?" He said

"Well I had to pay their gambling debt," I said

"How much?" He said looking at me shocked

"Twenty thousand," I mumbled

"What?" He said shocked

"She said they would go to jail if I didn't," I said

"Harper, you owe them nothing, the way they've treated you, they should be lucky you even talk to them," Tony said

"yeah, well if I didn't they would just show up and I don't want that," I said

He nodded

"What else did she say, that my brother dropped out of collage, and he's going to police academy, and the typical wish you were more like your brother we need the money," I said

"Ah the dead beet with great ideas but can't follow through and sponge off mommy and daddy," Tony said

I nodded

"What did you say," He said

"That I couldn't afford it," I said burring my face in my hands

"That I'm barley making it because I have to keep paying them for their debts," I said

"Tony I drained my savings because of them," I said

I chuckled dryly

"I graduated at the age of twelve, I graduated Harvard at the age of sixteen, but apparently very stupid," I said

"Harper your not stupid, you were just hoping you could help even though they don't deserve it," Tony mumbled

"Here you go," Pepper said

"Thank you," I said

"Why don't you come work for me," Tony said as I was taking a sip,

I started choking,

"Tony you know I can't-" I said

"I insist besides Banner won't shut up about trying to beat you in chest since you whooped him good," Tony said

I chuckled dryly

"Come on New York is so much better than Massachusetts," Tony said

"I have a job," I said

Not a good one," He said

I gave him a really look,

"How about you stay for at least for a week if you don't like it, then you can go back," He said

I pondered on it,

"Alright," I said

"Great," He said

I nodded I got up about to walk out,

"Where do you think your going?" He asked

"I booked a hotel on the way here," I said

"I don't think so, your staying here," He said

"Tony I can-" I said

"Yes you can look at all the people who are staying here, you are more than welcome, come on I'll show you to your room," He said pressing his hand in-between my shoulder blades,
