Tony POV
I rushed into the hospital to the floor the receptionist told us to go. as I approached the Nurses station I was beyond worried for her.
"Harper Hartley" I said
The nurse got over the shock of us avengers storming into the area.
She typed on the computer.
"She's still in surgery, But if you take a seat in the waiting area we will call you at once. are any of you family?" She asked
"I am." I said
A few years ago when Harper got Emancipated after me convincing her since her parents were complete dirt bags and treated her poorly. we decided I would take responsibility for her if anything would happen.
"What happened?" Steve said crossing his arms
"A man ran a red light. according to the report he was on his phone." The nurse said
This pissed me off.
"Thank you." I said sitting down.
"I will sit with you in a minute I need to make a phone call
I walked out to the hall way making a call.
"Come on pick up I know your home." I mumbled
"Yes Dad." Cody's voice came through the phone.
"Cody. I need you to look into something for me." I said
She was silent
"Okay?" She said
"I need you to hack into the police report that happened today. of Harper's car accident report and see who the guy was that hit her." I said
"I thought you told me no more hacking?" She said
"Just please do this for me. She's badly injured and I want to know what happened." I said
She sighed
"Fine." She said
"Thank you Sweetheart." I said
"If I do this does that mean I'm no longer grounded?" She said
"I will take a day off." I said
"Two." She said
"Fine." I said
"Okay. I'll send you what I find." She said
"Thank you." I said
"No, thank you dad." She said I swear I can hear her smirking
I hung up.
Teenagers. I thought
I walked into the waiting room sitting down next to Steve. picking up a book and decided to read until Cody digs up what she can.
My phone dinged.
I looked down reading what she found.
The name of the man that hit Harper was Derek Miles CEO of a pharmaceutical Company. he was texting and driving driving full speed through the red light.
According to the police report they are not going to give him anything because he is that wealthy.
Cody even sent me his account.
He doesn't have as much money as me. they just started building that company and not many people are interested in their products.
I shook my head.
I'll be damned if he gets away with this.
Harper is in surgery due to this idiot. I thought as I continued to read.
"Hartley," The doctor said
We all stand up. I walked towards the doctor
"How is she? Is she going to be alright?" I asked as we approached the doctor
"Well.." He said
