Ch. 19 "Memory"

                                         Steve POV 

We rush into the room, I put my hand on Harper's head, 

"God she's burning up," I said 

"And is currently rising," FRIDAY said over the speaker, 

"We need to get her to Bruce," Tony said 

He went to pick her up, 

"I got her, go inform Bruce," I said 

Tony arched his brow, then looked at Harper, then nodded walking out briskly,

I pulled the covers off of her, I hooked my arm under her knees, and the other under her neck, 

"It's alright sweetheart I've got you," I whispered 

                                     Harper POV 

                           Dream

I was five years old, 

I ran down the street, happy and excited, I won't the science fair I got first place, and they are going to put my project at the national science museum, 

I opened the door walking in, 

Mom was in the kitchen and dad was watching TV, 

"Mommy daddy, I got first place and they are going to put my project in the national science museum," I said excited, 

"So your brother could have done that, god I wish you were more like him," My mother said 

My smile faded, my arms fell down as I looked at the ground, the light in the room suddenly became duller, 

                                 End Dream 

Beep, Beep, beep 

My heavy eyelids slowly flutter open, 

I had an oxygen mask over my nose and mouth, 

I looked down to see and IV in my arm, 

I slowly went to reach for the mask, only to have a hand stop me, 

"Leave it, you need it," Steve's voice echoed in my ears, 

I slowly turn my head to see him looking at me with pure worry, 

"W-What happened?" I asked 

"Your fever sky rocked, and your flue turned to pneumonia in your lungs," Steve said 

"How?" I said with shallow breathing, 

"Were not sure yet," Tony said walking in, 

"Hey Harp how you feeling?" Tony asked 

I looked at him with a really look, 

"Right dumb question," He said 

"Do you need anything?" Steve said 

"I'm thirsty," I said with a raspy voice, 

Steve patted the top of my hand, 

"I'll be back," He said 

I nodded, 

He walked out, 

"Looks like you've got cap wrapped around your little finger," Tony said sitting in Steve's spot, 

"I don't know what you mean," I said 

"Come on Harp, I know your blind to love but you can't be that blind," He said 

I just shrug, 

"Which brings me to my next question," He said 

I arched my brow, 

"Do you love him?" He asked 

"Tony I don't even know what love is, my family never even showed me what that was so how can I possibly know what that is," I said 

Tony smirked, 

"If anyone can show you that, it's Cap himself," He said 

I chuckled but started coughing, 

"Easy," He said 

"You started it," I said 

"Okay I got you some green tea, it's said to help," Steve said walking in, 

"Thank you," I said smiling at him, 

I just do hope Tony is right, I thought as I stared at Steve, 

I do hope he can show me love
