The New Peter

A/N: The Avengers in this story will consist of Tony, Steve, Wanda, Vision, Natasha, and Clint. Thor will be off-world.

The Avengers sat on the couches of the living room watching TV. Tony was just waiting for Peter to get to the tower so they could head to the lab. Peter on the other hand stood in the elevator annoyed at everybody that went to Midtown High School. He was too smart for that school. He was a High School Student that knew beyond college-level stuff. If he wanted to he could make a time machine without even blinking! Yet he was stuck learning Calculus. Finally reaching the level where everyone else is, Peter stepped out of the elevator. Suddenly the lights went out and people dressed in black with guns came out.

"Peter Parker put your hands up!" A person yelled.

Peter slowly put his hands up. Someone came up and put him in Vibranium handcuffs.

"Mr. Parker, you had all of us fooled," Fury said coming out.

By that time the lights had come back on and the Avengers were standing up looking confused.

"Fury what the hell!? Let Peter go!" Tony yelled.

"No. Peter here is an assassin that we have been trying to find for years. I am not letting him out of my sight, Stark," Fury said.

What surprised the Avengers, even more, was that Peter started chuckling and eventually it turned into a loud laugh. Peter looked up with a smirk.

"So you finally figured it out," Peter said, still smirking.

"Avengers meet the Hunting Spider," Fury said, "Why would you even become an Assassin? You have a good life as a hero."

"What can I say I outgrew being the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and I certainly outgrew all of you," Peter said.

In one swift motion, Peter broke out of the cuffs and took out a small black circle. Before anyone could react he threw it to the ground and gas erupted from the pellet. In a matter of seconds, everyone including the Avengers were out cold.

"This is going to be fun," Peter said.

The next time the Avengers woke up they were tied up. Each of them were tied up and next to something that disrupted their powers. Each of them couldn't get out. Even Natasha and Clint. Only MJ had now joined them. By the looks of it, she was up before all of them and looked terrified.

"MJ?" Wanda asked, confused.

She just nodded signaling she was listening but still looked terrified.

"I see you have awakened," Peter said walking into the room.

Instead of his usual red and blue suit. Peter wore black pants with a workout shirt. Over the shirt, he wore a black jacket with dark red accents and black fingerless gloves with dark red accents. Attached to the gloves were web-shooters that were hidden. On both sides of his body, he had guns. He also wore a utility belt with different things. In the middle of the belt, there was a small dark red spider. (I really tried with the description there lol)

"Peter..." Tony said.

"Oh please start the speech on how this isn't me and that I am making a mistake. You'll only be wasting your breath."

"Why?" MJ whispered.

"I was tired of being the hero. And the truth is you don't really know me. Because every little thing that you know about me were just lies. Sure my parents died from a plane crash, my Uncle was killed by a mugger, and Aunt May died of cancer. But the rest were just lies. It was so easy to get you to trust me and call me one of your own. It actually made me question whether or not the Earth's mightiest heroes were in front of me," Peter said.

"What about me?" MJ asked.

"What about you MJ?" Peter asked, turning his head to look at MJ.

"I'm your girlfriend, Peter. You tell me you love me every day. And you are proud to be in that red and blue suit every day saving the people of New York. You are a hero, Peter. You are the same dorky Peter I met, freshman year," MJ said with a few tears falling from her eyes.

Peter walked up to MJ and crouched down in front of her. He put one hand on her lap and the other hand cupped her cheek. For a moment MJ thought that Peter went back to being her Peter. The Avengers just watched relieved.

"My love, I am a walking weapon. The Peter you fell in love with doesn't exist. He was simply a facade," Peter said, looking MJ in the eyes.

He stood up and walked away from MJ. Once he said that MJ lost hope and started to cry again. All of the Avengers looked like they were about to cry.

"Now I'll tell you the game plan. While all of you were out cold New York has fallen. It is now in my control. The government answers to me and me only. The police try to stop criminals but fail every time. You all will die. I found a way to stop Asgardians from going to Earth and it will stay like that unless I feel like it. MJ will just be let go. Not because I care but because she is a civilian and civilians don't die while I am in control."

"Peter we are your family!" Tony yelled.

"No, you are a liability and a loose end. And those need to be cut off. Wade!" Peter said, only raising his voice when calling out for Wade.

Wade dropped down from where he was hiding and walked up to where Peter was standing.

"Hi, baby boy! Whatcha need?"

"Just warning you that the warehouse is rigged to explode since you wanted to watch the show, which is weird but whatever," Peter said.

"You know you love me, baby boy," Wade said with a goofy smile even though he is wearing a mask.

Peter just rolled his eyes fondly and walked up to MJ with a cold expression and untied her.

"I suggest you run. The explosion alone will kill all the Avengers. I don't think you want to find out what it will do to you," Peter said.

With one last teary-eyed look to Peter MJ ran away from the warehouse. Peter walked back to where he was next to Wade.

"Bye Avengers, I would say it's been a pleasure but that would be lying," Peter said.

And with that Peter walked out of the warehouse with Wade walking next to him. Once they got to a safe distance Peter pressed a button on his utility belt and the sound of an explosion was heard by Peter and Wade. And with that, the last piece of Peter's old life was behind him. And now New York was completely in his control.

A/N: Being honest Wade didn't really need to be in this one-shot but I put him in there just for fun. I hope you enjoyed!
