Peter wasn't known to be in a bad mood and if he was he wouldn't lash out, he'd just deal with it. He would usually keep his distance from other people, so they wouldn't ask a thousand questions. Today was no different, today is the anniversary of his parent's death. May had texted him to see if he was okay and apologized since she wasn't there to help him. Peter just ignored the texts. He was stuck in Avengers Tower, and couldn't get the strength to get up and be productive.
Tony on the other hand was furious, Peter had been ignoring him. He told Friday to get Peter for breakfast but he never showed. He texted and called him but got nothing back. Most of the Avengers were concerned and confused. Peter had never acted like this. Natasha knew what today was and tried to tell Tony to leave Peter alone but he didn't listen.
"Tony, Peter is just going through a moody stage in his teenage years, I'm sure he'll be back to normal later. Give him some space," Clint said.
"Peter isn't like that Clint, he's just being disrespectful," Tony said.
Clint just sighed and shook his head.
"Peter Benjamin Parker, get down here now!" Tony yelled.
Peter flinched at Tony's yelling but got up. Still wrapped up in a blanket, he walked to the living room. When everyone saw him they became even more worried. Peter looked pale, he had dark circles under his eyes, and he looked like he hadn't eaten in weeks. Tony didn't pay attention to how Peter looked, he just glared at Peter.
"Well look who decided to show up, I've been calling for you since 9 in the morning, it's 1 in the afternoon, Peter! You had school today, and because of your laziness, you missed it. Are you going to eat anything or just stand there and stare at me?" Tony said.
"I'm not hungry," Peter said quietly.
"Speak up Peter, you have a voice, use it."
"I'm not hungry," Peter said louder.
"Oh, so you can talk. Peter, I'm not May, I'm not going to baby you. You are a teenager, you should be able to take care of yourself. Hell, I don't even know why I let you come here in the first place, you are a pathetic hero and a freak. You don't belong here," Tony said.
"Tony!" All the Avengers yelled while standing up from their spots on the couches.
"Is that what you think of me? A freak?" Peter said angrily.
"Peter, I'm sure Tony didn't mean that," Steve said.
"He said it, so it must be true. I should have known better than to trust the great Tony Stark. It's the world according to you, isn't it? If I don't do what you want me to do you'll just take away the suit right? Newsflash Stark, I don't care. I made my own suit before I met you, I sure as hell can make another one. But that's not really why you are upset. It's because a 15-year-old kid ignored you and you want to show everyone you're the boss. Did you ever stop and thought about why I am acting differently?" Peter said.
Tony just stood there choosing not to say anything.
"I'll take that silence as a no," Peter said while rolling his eyes. "It's the anniversary of my parent's death, Stark. It's a reminder that I had to grow up without a father or a mother. It's a reminder that I lost the chance to get to know the people that were my parents. But of course, you don't care. You won't have to deal with me anymore Stark, because I'm leaving."
Peter glared at Tony once more before walking out of the room. Natasha went to follow him. Everyone else just looked at Tony in anger.
"You fucked up Stark," Clint said.
Tony just looked down in shame. The rest of the Avengers left to go and see if there was anything they could do to help Peter. Leaving Tony alone with his guilt.
