Sherman: "The perfect hare deserves a perfect wolf of the hour. Oh yeah!"
Desmond: "Hey, Sherman. Do you wanna come and play 'Catch' with us?"
Sherman: "Sorry, bud. Me and Aubrey have a date tonight."
Desmond: "You two are going out again? Why?"
Sherman: "I made plans little brother. Sorry."
Desmond: "Ugh! Can't you two come back early? I prefer being tutored by you two and that boring instructor in my social studies class."
Sherman: "Hehe, you'll fully understand why once you starting dating a girlfriend of your own."
Desmond: "Okay, but at least play 'Catch' once with me."
Sherman: "Only for one hour, lil bro. Okay?"
Desmond: "Yay!"
The two brothers play as nightfall makes its approach.
......At 8:00pm......
Aubrey: "My gosh, I love that wolf."
Aubrey says dreamily to herself as she dances in her room. She starts one of her favorite love songs, 'Don't Ever Miss Your Chance' on her holo-phone.
Aubrey: "Mmm! Mmm! Mmm! Not ever missing things by chance!"
She sings along to the song's beat as she irons and puts on her new velvet purple dress. Alujura walks into Aubrey's room.
Alujura: "Aubrey? What is going in here? I mean why are you...? Oooh, that's a nice dress."
Aubrey: "Thanks, new sis. I bought it from Arista's Secret last year."
She looks at herself in the mirror, gussies her cheeks, and highlights her hair.
Aubrey: "Yes, so shiny and golden. How do I look?"
Alujura: "You look great. Sherman's is very lucky to have you, Aubrey."
She sighs in a somewhat dour mood?
Aubrey: "Are you alright, Alujura?"
Alujura: "Sis, I went to class today and this one girl named Cora said that I don't belong at Eastside."
Aubrey: "Alujura, that's not true. Cora and her Calico snobs don't know what they're talking about. Besides they're always trying to steal Sherman from me, just like my friend Victoria is."
Alujura: "That's easy for you to say. Sherman is a regional hero. I'm not known for anything. I'm just a former street girl. None of the boy furries seem to be interested in me."
Aubrey: "Oh, I wouldn't say that."
Alujura: "What do you mean?"
Aubrey: "Well, don't tell anyone I told you, but I overheard Lucas Baylor and Redford Tamas talking about you during lunch when I was ordering hot lunch for the group."
Alujura: "Were they talking about me?"
Aubrey: "Well..."
......Flashback to Lunch Period......
Aubrey: "Lunch is on me for today."
Sherman: "Babe, I could have ordered all the lunches."
Aubrey: "Oh, I didn't know, baby."
Sherman: "Nah, it's fine. I love a free lunch."
Aubrey: "Hehe, then in that case you're ordering next time, Mr. Heir to the Enterprise."
Sherman: "Nah, nah, I am the heir to the head office of Tontione Enterprise. Say it with me babe. Who's the heir?"
Neal: "Oh boy..."
Robert: "He's doing it again."
Sherman: "I didn't quite hear y'all. What?"
His entire table says he is the heir at the same time.
Sherman: "Haha, that's what I'm talking about!"
Aubrey: "Why are you corny?"
Sherman: "It's part of Tontione charm, Aubs. You know that."
Aubrey: (chuckles)
She sits next to her famous boyfriend and overhears Lucas and Redford conversing in whispers about the current season.
Lucas: "Dude, I'm telling ya, Alujura is as hot as Justine. I'd prefer her to 'courtship' me into a corner. Haha!"
Redford: "Alright, then I pick Justine. Since ya called dibs on Alujura, ten times today."
Lucas: "And don't forget it. Haha!"
The others may not have heard them, but after Aubrey's ears popped up. Their discussion was clear as crystal.
In Aubrey's Mind: "Hmm, interesting. I can't wait to tell Alujura about this juicy development."
......Flashback Ends......
Aubrey: "And just like that, I heard them say it."
Alujura: "Really?"
Aubrey: "Exactly. So don't feel down, new sis. You still have a chance and Redford is interested in your lab partner, Justine."
Alujura: "Oooh... my... Okay, so what's Lucas' number?"
Aubrey: "Let me check our group's chat. Hmm... Ah yes. It's 580-321-6709. Try calling him and get to know him first. He's sort of a comedian."
Alujura: "Okay, I'll give him a chance."
Aubrey watches as her adopted wolf sister calls Lucas and she slowly begins to smile.
Alujura: "Okay, see ya then, Lucas. Heheh!"
She hangs up and giggles.
Alujura: "He's hilarious, Aubrey."
Lucas: "My pleasure, Alujura. See ya at Bostelair Beach tomorrow."
She hangs up her new holo-phone.
Alujura: "Also, thanks for overnighting my new phone. I'm starting to feel like myself again." Aubrey: "You're welcome. And... good luck with Lucas."
Alujura: "Hehe, will do. And have a fun night on your date!"
Aubrey: "Thanks. I'll catch ya later when I'm home!"
Aubrey leaves her folk's house and goes to the Tontione's household. She rings the doorbell.
Sherman's jaw drops as he opens the front door.
Sherman: "Aubs, you look absolutely stunning."
Aubrey: "Thanks baby. I can see you've been working out. Very pumped."
Sherman: "Yeah well, I try."
Aubrey: (smiles) "Hehe, get dressed honey."
Sherman: "Sweetheart, I'm the pinnacle of readiness."
Aubrey: (chuckles) "Mwah. Quickly sweetie. I want our night to be perfect."
Sherman's tail wags excitedly as he walks upstairs to change. Aubrey sighs happily as she relaxes on the couch.
Aubrey: "Hey Mallory, what's up?"
Mallory: "Nothing, just finishing off this final question for my geography assignment."
Aubrey: "Oh, Geography is easy. Here is the answer to the question."
Mallory: "The Northern Asialon?"
Aubrey: "That's the answer."
Desmond: "You're smart Aubrey. Can you help me too? I have a quiz in three days, and I forgot to study early. What am I going to do?"
Aubrey: "Desmond, you should have asked your parents to help you or ask the school to get a tutor."
Desmond: "But I don't want to do homework."
Aubrey: "Do I have to tell your parents."
Desmond: "No..."
Aubrey: "Hey, you are smart. And Sherman and I have taught you how to study on your own. What's the matter?"
Desmond: "Okay, I guess I just miss working with you two. Also, I want that new video game, Space Explorers."
Aubrey: "Desmond... you are seven years old, and you promised us and your parents to always prepare for your tests. And then you get playtime."
Desmond: "Okay, I will."
Aubrey: "Good."
Approaching footsteps are heard from above as Sherman descends downstairs.
Sherman: "Hello there, milady. Agent Tontione is all set."
Aubrey: "Well, my Special Agent, you look very dashing. Are the reservations set?"
Sherman: "You're talking to the wolf of the hour, baby. Let's rev, rock, and roll."
Aubrey: (giggles) "Hehehe!"
Sherman drives himself and Aubrey to the restaurant for their date. They reach a nearby parking garage. The couple walks inside to be seated.
Sherman: "Hello there."
Chimpanzee Clerk: "Good afternoon, folks! What name is your reservation under?"
Sherman: "Table for two, sir. Under the name Tontione."
He shows him the reservation number via his holo-phone.
Chimpanzee Clerk: "Ahh, yes. Here we are. Right this way."
He leads them to a corner table.
Chimpanzee Clerk: "Okay, I will send for one our waiters as soon as possible."
Sherman: "Thank you."
Aubrey: "So, baby... where are we going after dinner?"
Sherman: "I was thinking that we'd take a walk and stargaze in Uptown Park. Then we go to the spiritual garden, so I commune with the Vitaea."
Aubrey: "Aww, Shermie you didn't have to plan everything out for tonight."
Sherman: "I know, but I wanted to. Speaking of which, we'll have some some 'private time' for the night."
Aubrey: (giggles) "What do you plan on giving me?"
Sherman: "Hehe, I've been percolating on multiple scenarios, babe."
Aubrey flutters her eyes as she scoots closer to him. Sherman holds her paw gently as they nuzzle. A few minutes later, a waiter arrives offering them a menu.
Boar Waiter: "Good afternoon, my name is Henry and I'll be your server for tonight. May I start you off with drinks?"
Sherman: "Yeah, get us one deluxe sized smoothie. The Couple's Special."
Henry: "Mmmhmm... and what flavors would you want that as?"
Sherman: "Mango and blueberry."
Henry: "Alright and are you two ready for food as well?"
Sherman: "Let's see... we'll have the pasta and meatball lover's special with two side salads."
Henry: "Excellent choice. I'll take these menus and let you know when your meal is ready."
Sherman: "Much appreciated, Mr. Henry."
Aubrey: "Thank you."
Sherman: "So... how does milady think of this place's atmosphere?"
Aubrey: "The Pirate's Lighthouse certainly has a flair for decor."
Sherman: "So... what's it like having a new sister?"
Aubrey: "It's been great so far, Shermie. By the way, I think she's going to ask out your friend Lucas."
Sherman: "Hehe... I'm sure Lucas appreciates your gift to him."
Aubrey: "I don't know what you're talking about, sweetie."
Sherman: "Aubrey, you did something to make it happen. Didn't you?"
Aubrey: "Okay, I might have told her your Lucas' secret. But it's only to make my new sister happy."
Sherman: "Yeah, I getcha. A soul of gold."
Aubrey: "Exactly."
There was a moment of silence between them, and Sherman breaks the tension with a new topic of conversation.
Sherman: "Say, um... what do you think about the pollution issue in the Western Province of Shinevail."
Aubrey: "Where is that?"
Sherman: "It's all the way in Asialia. Most of the country has gone green with renewable energy sources all except for Shinevail."
Aubrey: "Oh... that's interesting. I hope the furries of Shinevail change their ways, because too many fumes could cause a greenhouse effect."
Sherman: "True. It could also lead to an ecological disaster for everyone. Not just for us as furries, but it could greatly affect the wild ones across different regions."
Aubrey: "I didn't know you had a scientific curiosity, Sherman."
Sherman: "There's plenty of things you don't know about me baby."
Aubrey: "Huh? Oh really? You said there'd be no secrets between us."
Sherman: "I know. I wanted to come off as super mysterious for a moment there."
Aubrey: (smirks) "Oh Shermie, you're hilarious. Hehe!"
They chat for a while before their drinks and food arrive twelve minutes later.
Sherman: "I'll say the prayer."
Aubrey: "Can we say it together this time?"
Sherman: "Um... sure. Ya ready?"
Aubrey: "Ready."
Sherman: "By the guidance of the Great Spirit above and the Vitaea, we bless this food on our date tonight."
Aubrey: "And the paws who've prepared it."
Sherman: "Amen."
Aubrey: "Amen."
The couple consumes their dinner and leaves after Sherman pays the check.
Sherman: "That was a great meal."
Aubrey: "It sure was. Thank you, sweetie."
Sherman: "You're welcome, my beloved."
Aubrey: "Mmm... hehehehe! Beloved?"
Sherman: "Too much?"
Aubrey: "Hehe!"
Sherman and Aubrey then drive to the Uptown Park.
Sherman: "Here's a brand-new spot."
Aubrey: "Oh, but I loved our old spot honey. Why here?"
Sherman: "Because my precious heroine, this is the place where you shall receive my final birthday gift to you. In fact, I happen to see your favorite constellation right over there."
Aubrey: "Hehe, right. You showed me that one eight years ago when you gave me this wristband."
Sherman: "Ahh yes. That was a special night for us."
Aubrey: "Sherman?"
Sherman: "Yes?"
Aubrey: "Why do those blue and yellow lights in the sky seem familiar?"
Sherman: "I am glad you asked, Aubs."
He bows his head in respect as the lights encircle them from above.
Sherman: (whispers) "Great Spirits above, I humbly call upon you to grant this gift to the one I love most."
Vitaea Spirit One: "Such a request, young Tontione. But are you sure she can be trusted to wield our shared energies?"
Sherman: "Yes, wise spirit. I trust Aubrey with my life."
Vitaea Spirit Two: "Hmm... the girl has helped him save countless innocents."
Vitaea Spirit Three: "Yeah, but don't forget that some furries died that year! I don't trust her. She is not part of his family yet. I say no way."
Vitaea Spirit Four: "Now hold on brother, let's not be too hasty. Maybe we can trust her to wield this energy in a responsible manner."
Vitaea Spirit Three: "You cannot be serious. Ugh! What do you two think?"
Vitaea Spirit One: "I think it is the right choice to give Aubrey the gift of our power."
Vitaea Spirit Two: "Same here. Besides, Sherman and Aubrey always look adorable together."
Vitaea Spirit Three: (sighs) "Guess I'm outvoted. Very well, let us grant her the power."
The four Vitaea spirits merge their energies and descends all around Aubrey as it lifts her into the five feet above the ground. Then they gently place her down with ease.
Aubrey: "Whoa... so what happens now?"
Vitaea Spirit One: "Now... you are a part the solution young furry. Many blessings upon both of you and your families."
The pair watch as the four spirits return to the Great Beyond.
Sherman: "You are officially Madame Hopper."
Aubrey's paws begin to glow with a light-yellow coloration.
Aubrey: "This power feels... it feels..."
Sherman: "Different?"
Aubrey: "No... it's amazing. What should I do first?"
Sherman: "Touch the grass below your feet."
Aubrey: "Uhm... okay."
She touches the rotted grass, and it changes from brown to a lush green right before her eyes.
Aubrey: "Whoa... that... oh my..."
Sherman: "Cool, isn't it?"
Aubrey: "Mmhmm... very cool! Hehe!"
Sherman: "I'll show you an example."
Sherman demonstrates his energy shield ability to her holds his fighting stance for fifteen seconds before settling his powers.
Sherman: "Okay, now you try."
Aubrey nods 'yes', takes a deep breath, and copies Sherman's technique.
Aubrey: "Shermie... I think I... whoa!"
She trips on a dead branch. Sherman moves quickly and catches her with his light energy grapple.
Sherman: "I got you, Aubs."
Aubrey: "Phew, thank you honey."
Sherman: "Here, just follow my lead and you'll master it in no time."
Aubrey: "Alright. I'll give it another go."
Sherman: "That's my girl."
They train and practice their abilities as one until the park closes.
Aubrey: "Um, Sherman? The park lights went out. I get a little freaked out in the dark."
Sherman: "It's alright, Aubrey. You don't have to be afraid. Just follow my eyes and I'll lead us back to the car."
Aubrey: "Okay."
Sherman holds Aubrey's paw and uses his superior night vision find the Uptown Park exit.
Sherman: "Okay, Aubs. You can open your eyes now."
Aubrey: "Thanks, honey."
Sherman: "Where to next, babe?"
Aubrey: "How about the Willowston Hotel? That's open all day and all night."
She checks on her holo-phone and reserves one night stay.
Sherman: "You're getting us a room?"
Aubrey: "Of course we are, honey. We deserve some 'alone time' together."
Sherman: "I getcha. Haha."
They drive to Willowston Suites and check-in for the night.
Sherman: "Well, here we are. Our private den for the evening."
He says with an ancient English accent.
Aubrey: "Hehehe, are we having tea after this?"
Sherman: "Maybe so... mademoiselle."
Aubrey: "Hehehe! Mwah."
Sherman: "Mwah. Mwah. Mmmwah."
Aubrey: "My gosh, I want you so bad, Shermie."
Sherman: "There ain't no one else like you on my mind my beautiful arctic hare."
Aubrey: "Mmm... my big, strong wolf. I'm in heat."
Sherman: "Well... then get yourself ready and I'll be right back."
Sherman goes into the restroom to change into his night clothes and turns on 'Always Have You Covered' on his holo-phone.
Sherman: "Okay, all set for the..."
He steps out and sees his girlfriend in a high-split night dress.
Aubrey: "I'm ready for some loving. Are you ready Shermie Boo?"
Sherman: "You better believe it, milady."
Sherman howls after his goes agape.
Aubrey: (giggles) "So handsome."
They embrace each other and start their dalliance with a make-out. Sherman then lifts Aubrey up on the bed as the soulful music plays on.
Sherman: "Mmmwwah! Mmmph! Mmmm!"
Aubrey: "Mmm! Ooohmmwah! Mmph!"
Sherman: "Mmmwah!"
Aubrey: "Aaahmph!"
Their lips separate as they nuzzle and look into each other's eyes.
Sherman: "I'm so lucky to have someone as precious as you, Aubrey Olvera."
Aubrey: "I love you so much, Sherman Tontione."
Sherman: "What next, Madame Hopper?"
Aubrey: "Make me your official mate, and yours only, Mr. Razor Wolf."
She playfully bites her own lips and puckers up.
Sherman: "Mmm. So dang attractive... Mwah, Mmmph, Mwwah, Mwwah, Mmmwah!"
Aubrey: "Hehehehehe! Mwwah... Yum, Mmm! Mmmwah, Mmwah, Mmmph!"
The pair proceed with their intimate courtship as the night progresses.
