......6:30 am at the Salim household......
The sun rises upon the Uptown District of Arkson City.
Ahmed Salim: "Mmm... my head."
Kona Umaji Salim: "Sweetie, it's six-thirty in the morning. Can't you just show up a bit later?"
Ahmed: "I'd love to Kona. But the City Hall Council agreed to start a meeting at 9:00am."
Kona: (sighs) "But I need you to stay, so you can help me pick a meaningful name for our new baby."
Ahmed: "Can't we talk about this later. I gotta get going."
Kona: "Wait! At least eat something before you go Councilman."
Ahmed: "I will. Love you!"
Ahmed pops a pair of toast and packs it with a ham slice. Then he drives off to Arkson City Hall."
Kona: (sighs) "Love you too..."
She looks down at her enlarged stomach and walks carefully to Layla's room.
Kona: (whispers) "She's growing up too fast. Ahem, Layla wake up. It's time for school."
Layla: "Mmm, no. No... give me some more minutes with him."
She says in her sleep.
Kona: "Baby girl... come on."
Layla: "Just a few minutes longer..."
Kona: "Layla!"
Layla: (screams) "What? What?"
Kona: "You were dreaming again sweetie. Now get yourself cleaned up and get to school."
Layla: "Mom, it's only 6:45am!"
Kona: "No back talk, young lady. Downstairs now!"
Layla: "Ugh...! Ever since you got pregnant again, you've gotten so bossy..."
Kona: "Layla, knock it off. It's morning and your father and I pay a lot for you to go to school and that means making it there on time."
Layla: "Eh... perfect attendance! Perfect attendance! What does that even get me in my future anyway?"
Kona: "Layla, It gets you points at school for being professional and it applies to your permanent record."
Layla: (sighs) "At least I get to look at the cute male leopards at lunch today."
Kona: "You know how your father is about interspecies relationships."
Layla: "Yeah, yeah, I know... stick to dating guys within the Canidae Family. But, mom, I can't help but feel interested in these two big cats I know at school. I just wish I had the courage to talk to at least one of them."
Kona: "You can make friends with them, but don't take it any further."
Layla: "But I like the new students Namir Milligans and Bavos Irasi. Namir is a male leopard who's new to school, but Bavos is a is such a handsome male cheetah from the new team of heroes. I just haven't met any canine hybrids who are interested in me."
Kona: "You'll meet a good and manly canine one day, sweetie. Proclaim your prayers and ye shall receive one."
Layla: "Sure, mom."
Layla goes down and makes herself a quick breakfast, grabs her backpack, and puts on her jacket before riding her bike to school.
.......At the Tontione household......
Mallory is the first to awaken and goes to her parents' bedroom.
Mallory: "Mom? Dad?"
She says quietly and moves their arms a bit.
Taciana: (mumbles) "Yes, Mallory?"
Mallory: "I had a bad dream. And it's because I overheard you two fighting last night."
Taciana: "What was the dream about?"
Mallory: "You and Dad split up and he was gone. And you looked so sad."
Taciana: "What? No, no, sweetie. No. Me and your dad may have our spats from time to time. But, we'll never split up. And we both still love each other no matter what."
Jackson: (groans) "Why are you two talking this early?"
Mallory: "Dad, why were you and Mom fighting last night?"
Jackson: "Who told you that me and your mother were fighting?"
Mallory: "I overheard you and her yelling about relationship issues within your marriage."
Jackson: "Mallory, me and your mom are a team. We're not having marital problems."
Taciana holds Jackson's right paw and places it over her heart. Jackson wiggles his eyebrows.
Mallory: "I wish I had someone special in my life too..."
Taciana: "What about Ashon?"
Mallory: "Ashon Estelle Quijada?"
Taciana: "Yeah. You've been close with him for a long time."
Mallory: "Ashon is great, but he's involved in a lot of extra-curricular activities."
Taciana: "Aziza and Xion are getting along very well lately."
Mallory: "Well those two are goofy when it comes to love."
Taciana: "I think it's adorable that Xion walks with her to the park nearby. Just talk to Ashon and be yourself. You'll never know if you don't ask him."
Mallory: "Okay, I'll give it a shot Mom."
Taciana: "Great. Trust me, you'll remember that your mom and dad are always great with advice."
Jackson: "That's right baby girl. Always trust your mom and dad. Mostly your dad."
Taciana: "Har har, sweetheart."
Mallory: "See you downstairs!"
Jackson and Taciana wash up in the shower together and groom themselves before heading down and starting up breakfast together.
......Meanwhile in Sherman's room......
Sherman is stirring in his bedroom and wakes up hearing his younger brothers and sisters knocking on his bedroom door.@
Angel: "Sherman? Sherman?"
Cecelia: "Big brother?"
Eliza: "Are you awake?
Zakari: "Sherman? Wake up!"
Jaronte: "Come on biggest bro! Wake up!"
Joseph: "Yeah, the sun is up and the big party is tonight!"
Desmond: "Yeah! The Crisis Brood strikes the club! Can't wait to run on that lake while in my costume!"
Sherman: (yawns) "Desmond, you are just saying that because want to go with Chloe."
Desmond: "No! Who told you that! Besides, this more about having fun, bro. Or have the missions gotten to your head."
Sherman: "I'm fun. Okay. I literally started making this family fun. Heck I taught all of about the idea of what 'being fun' is when you were all in still in diapers."
They suddenly hear their mother's roll call for breakfast.
Taciana: "Kids! Breakfast is on! Otherwise your dad will eat all of it! And make sure that JJ and Zaino wake up too!"
Felicia: "I have that covered Mrs. Tontione!"
Taciana: "Such a nice girl. At this point JJ, should consider picking her as a mate."
Jackson: "Well he does have the Tontione charm from moi. Heheh."
Taciana: (chuckles)
......Up in Jackson Junior's room......
Jackson Junior: (yawns)
Two knocks come from outside his bedroom door.
Jackson Junior: "Morning Felicia."
Felicia: "Hi JJ, I brought you some food."
Jackson Junior: "Hehe, a Tappy's energy bar?"
Felicia: "Yeah."
In Felicia's Mind: "He looks so incredible. Those arms! The muscles! Ooh, I can't resist him any longer!"
Felicia: "Jackson Junior, I must ask... have you thought about me last night."
Jackson Junior: "Yeah... I have actually."
Felicia's smile widens at first.
Felicia: "Yes...?"
Jackson Junior: "That if two different cross breeds come together then the chances of a multi-hybrid could occur. I think we'll be learning as sophomores in biology next year."
Felicia: "Well, that is interesting, but I was thinking of just starting with 'us' being together; 2nd Lieutenant of the Crisis Brood."
She inches her muzzle to Jackson Junior's.
Jackson Junior: "Uhm... what are you doing?"
Felicia: "What? You told me that you loved me last night, JJ. You even kissed me back."
Jackson Junior: "I know, but I love Ruth as well as and..."
Felicia: "And what, I am not sharing you with her."
Jackson Junior: "I figured that, but can't we all just have fun for now. I spend the most time with you, some time with Ruth and some with time, Alicia."
Felicia: "You figured what? You can't spend time with three different girl animals and expect full happiness, JJ. You either pick me or the two pure breds. And... red foxes are the most deceptive tricksters anyway."
Jackson Junior: "Mmm, a little speciesist on that part Felicia, but look I swear I'll make my choice once the city is much safer."
Felicia: "Fine. Mwah! Mwah!"
She kisses his lips and cheek.
Felicia: "After all of us save the our homes, stop the Feral-60 Threshers, and the Crimson Raiders as a unit."
She nuzzles him gently and whispers in his right ear.
Felicia: (whispers) "You better pick me."
Jackson Junior: "Yeah..."
Felicia turns around and goes towards Zaino's room.
Zaino: "What are you doing here?"
Felicia: "Just waking up everyone for today."
Zaino: "You still didn't answer my question."
Felicia: "My parents and I fought last night and I need time away from them."
Zaino: "Alright."
As all the children go downstairs, Zaino asks Felicia about what he overheard.
Zaino: "So, Junior rejected you, huh?"
Felicia: "No, he didn't. We bonded last night. Right, JJ?"
Jackson Junior: "Yes. Yes we did. Because we're good and close friends. That's all."
In JJ's Mind: "Why did I say that? I mean I can't be all ears to say that after I kissed her last night! Gahh! Even though I'm still dating Ruth who still keeps Alicia from making advances on me! But... why am I... pausing whenever I look at Felicia on occasions?!"
Sherman: "JJ? Are you alright, bro? You started staring into space and then began staring at Felicia. Something going on?"
Jackson Junior: "Huh? What?!?"
Felicia: (smirks) "You're so into me, JJ."
Jackson Junior: "What!? No! I... I'm gonna go eat."
Sherman: "What did you two do?"
Jackson Junior: "Nothing. Just drop it."
Sherman: "Okay..."
Jackson: "Y'all better start eating before I do. Otherwise we are gonna eat it all."
Taciana: "Jackson..."
Jackson: "Only kidding, dear."
......Eight minutes later......
Jackson and Taciana drive off to their workplaces after eating breakfast, while Sherman leads everyone else out of the house for school. They all ride together in the 5037 Camper Pro.
Desmond: "Can I drive, Sherman?"
Sherman: "Nope."
Desmond: "Aww, come on pwease?"
Sherman: "Not happening. You're not old enough to drive Desmond."
Desmond: (mumbles)
Mallory: "Desmond..."
Desmond: "Sorry, big brother and big sister."
Aziza: "Come over here, Desmond. Sit up here with me."
Desmond: "Okay."
The ride goes by smoothly as they reach school on time.
......Meanwhile at Tontione Enterprises......
Valera: "Hello, Mr. Tontione. Just wanted to turn in the new designs from R&D."
Jackson: "Yes, thank you Valera."
Valera: "You're welcome, sir."
Jackson: "Oh and Valera... keep up the good work."
Valera: "Thank you."
In Valera's Mind: "My gosh... I love male furries like him... so authoritative and so full of supportive morale."
She leaves the Jackson's top floor office.
Nappine: "Oh sir, your wife is on line three."
Jackson: "Patch her through."
......Phone call conversation begins......
Jackson: "Hi, babe."
Taciana: "Hey honey! Some of our friends texted me saying if it's okay to come by and hang out tomorrow afternoon."
Jackson: "Sure babe. Sure. Uhm... what time were they going to show up?"
Taciana: "Maybe, 6:00pm or 7:00pm? Does that work for you?"
Jackson: "Yes. Yes, it does work."
Taciana: "Great. Love you!"
Jackson: "Yeah, I love you too."
Taciana: "Bye, my handsome dhole."
Jackson: (chuckles) "See you at home my precious rabbit."
......Phone call conversation ends......
Jackson: "Thank goodness."
Nappine: "If it's any consolation, sir. My husband checks up on me a lot."
Jackson: "Nappine, my wife is highly social and wants me to reconnect with all of our old friends."
Nappine: "Well, I'm sure you'll figure something out Mr. Tontione. You always do."
Jackson: "Thanks, Nappine. Oh, crud. I have to drive to Arkson City Hall during my lunch hour. Let everyone who comes by my office know that I might be a late coming back."
Nappine: "Not a problem, sir."
Jackson: "Great."
He grabs his modded flash drive and the file against the corrupt impala senator, Susan Covelle.
Jackson leaves his office and drives to the Midtown District in Arkson City.
......Twenty-five minutes later......
He reaches Arkson City's Council Hall Building and enters in with his tie straightened.
Mayor Shepherd: "Jackson Tontione."
Governor Braxus: "The famous Shadow Dhole."
In Susan Covelle's Mind: "Everyone's most famed hero. What is he doing here?"
Jackson: "Mr. Mayor? Governor? Diverse members of the Arkson City Council... I come today to with more than enough evidence to go after the financier who has been supporting and running both the Feral-60 Thresher and the Crimson Raider Crime Syndicates."
The whole council gasps in surprise except for Susan Covelle.
Mayor Shepherd: "That's a serious charge. May I ask, who is the crooked financier you speak of?"
Jackson: "The evidence proves that one your own council members, a one Susan Covelle is conspiring with both groups as method to take over the city from within and control the council's decisions."
Senator Susan Covelle: "Mayor! Governor! This alleged evidence came out of nowhere and you expect to take him at his word?"
Mayor Shepherd: "Mr. Tontione, show us all of the evidence in possession."
Jackson places his flash drive into the holo-projection player and it shows Susan Covelle's contacts, conspiracies, and connections within both the council and the gangs.
The whole council gasps at this revelation.
Mayor Shepard: "Well, Senator Covelle. What do you have to say for yourself."
Senator Covelle: "I have a good explanation for all of that. See the point of all those contacts is to..."
She pulls out a modded machine pistol out from under her the row desk and fires at Jackson; causing him and everyone else to duck and cover. Susan runs at Shepherd and aims her gun at him.
Jackson: "Take it easy and drop the gun Covelle!"
Susan: "Let me leave or I send the Mayor on a permanent trip to the Great Beyond!"
Susan cocks her machine pistol.
Jackson: "Okay. Okay... you can go. But no one has to get hurt here."
Susan: "Wise choice."
She grabs her phone and purse slowly while aiming her modded pistol at everyone. She runs to the exit and encounters one of the security guards protecting the Council Room entrance.
Security Guard 1: "Call the task force!"
Security Guard 2: "Already did!"
They aim their weapons at Susan and she sprays bullets all over their legs.
Security Guard 1: (groans)
Security Guard 2: (groans)
Susan: "Heh, suckers!"
She keeps running out of the building until she reaches the parking lot, unaware that Jackson is pursuing her.
Jackson: "That's far enough, Susan!"
Susan: "What are you going to do about stopping me? The gangs are going to take over every inch of these cities after the big deals go down. Hahaha!"
Jackson: "Take on this!"
Jackson uses his light spirit powers to stop her and quickly activates his subsonic watch. He fires an energy blast comprising of strong frequency sound waves in her direction.
Susan: "Ahh! What the...?"
Jackson handcuffs the devious impala on her wrist as she tries recovering from Jackson's subsonic energy blast.
Jackson: "Looks like you've been voted off, Senator! Good thing I was here to thwart you."
He states with a confident tone.
