Chapter 5

The car lot was fresh out of red so Rogue and Snake Eyes returned to the Web. She walked in to see Belle passed out on the couch, Raven playing on her phone on a bar stool, and Fox no where in sight. Snake Eyes joined Belle on the couch as Rogue walked to her desk. Raven turned on the bar stool to look at her.

"Whatcha doin?" Raven asked

"Looking" Rogue sighed plopping down in her seat and thumbing through a car magazine

Raven nodded walking to the fridge and grabbing a water bottle. She then walked down the hallway to her room. She returned with a picture frame.

"I forgot to give you this" she announced handing it to her, "I found it in a cardboard box in the back of my closet"

Rogue raised an eyebrow and took the frame. It was golden with a dotted pattern on it. She examined the picture. Suddenly she shot up from her seat like she had been shot. The frame went crashing to the floor, the glass went everywhere. Raven's eyes nearly popped out of her head. Rogue doubled over panting, her hands on her knees. Raven had never really gotten to look at the picture. She walked over and dumped all the glass on it into the floor. She flipped it over to reveal a picture of Nash and Rogue. Rogue on Nash's back laughing and Nash smiling up at her. Raven looked up at her.

"I'm so sorry Rogue I did-"

"It's ok" she replied shakily, "I'm gonna go lay down now"

She straightened her posture and went into her room. She closed the door and leaned on it. Slowing her breathing back to normal. When her breathing finally return to put on a pair of black and red plaid pajama pants and a black tank top. She tied her hair into a ponytail and laid down in her bed. Her attempts at sleep failed so she ended up lying on her back looking at the ceiling. Examining the pattern. It seemed to calm her. She had to do something else. Something else to calm her. Something to make her forget. Something to-

"Rogue!" Raven yelled from the main room

Rogue ran out to see Raven standing at the front door. Fox, Belle, and Snake Eyes stood behind her. They all looked worried.

"What?" Rogue asked

Raven looked at the envelope in her hand. It was yellow with a big red paw print on the front. On the back there was a Widow hour glass.

"The Hounds" Rogue whispered

She ripped the note from Raven's grasp and looked at it. The seal of the letter had a dog head on it. Rogue looked at her gang.

"Should I open it?" She asked them

They nodded quickly. She shakily brought her hand to the seal. Her thumb grazed it and then she pealed it off opening the envelope. She gave another look to her gang before opening it. She pulled out a letter. The words were made out of letters from magazines and newpapers. Rogue opened it up and walked over to her desk, turning on her lamp, and read it as Belle read aloud.

"We have noticed that since our recent trashing of you're gang house the quote on quote Web you have not made any appearances, any surprise attacks, or have made any move that makes you a threat to us" she read, "tonight come to the one tree hill with all of our money and anything else you've taken and we'll call it a truce"

"A truce?" Rogue asked in disgust

"What do they take us for?!" Raven yelled

"A bunch of sissy?!" Snake Eyes added

"I find this very insulting" Belle announced

"So do I" Fox said crossing her arms

Rogue got up and began pacing angrily.
