Chapter 19

"Where's Rogue?"

"She's um asleep"

"I want to see her"

"Fox please she's not feeling well"

".........Fine, but I will talk to her later"

"Go right ahead"

Rogue heard the door close as she stared blankly at her bed sheets. The other side of the bed dipped. She turned to the boy sitting looking at her concerned.

"I'm ok Dillon"

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure"

"Really?"

"Yes"

He nodded and looked at his hands in his lap. Rogue's arms wrapped around her in the cold room. The sudden shift in movement from her caught Dillon's attention. She shivered slightly. He lifted himself off her bed and grabbed his sweatshirt off the closet handle. She looked up at him as he walked over to her.

"I'm going to help you put this on"

"I'm not a child Dillon" She took the clothing from him, "I had something like a minor panic attack not a heart attack"

She put her arms through the sleeves and lifted it above her head. She felt a pair of hands grab the bottom and pull it down to her waist. When her head came through the top her eyes locked with his. His blue ones looking deep into her emerald green. She felt her cheeks heat up. He looked down to her lips for only a second before returning his attention to her gaze.

A mixture of love, passion, and admiration floated in his eyes. No matter how hard Rogue tried she couldn't look away. His hand lifted to her cheek spending small sparks through her body as he began to lean in. There past relationship flashed into her mind, but as soon as it came it went. Before Rogue could comprehend what was happening she began to lean in as well.

"ROGUE"

The two jumped away from each other. Rogue's head snapped in the direction of Queen Slay with Skate standing behind her.

"THE GRIZZLIES LIT THE DIAMOND BANK ON FIRE"

She looked at Dillon before jumping off the bed and darting out the door. Queen Slay and The Diamond knights pilled into their gold mustang as the Widow's jumped into the Camaro. They sped down the streets screeching to a stop in front of the alley. The Widow's jaw dropped at Queen Slay opened the entrance. A herd of smoke flew out as her eyes filled with tears. One by one the Widow's got out of the Camaro looking at the destruction.

"So now I'm broke and alone"

"I'm sure the Widow's will help us in this hard time" Luke said

"Sure Slay anything you need we've got your back" Rogue replied

"I think I just need to go back to the Web and be alone"

The group looked at each other.

"We'll stay here and look for anything that we're able to save" Rogue told the Diamond Knights

They nodded picked up Queen Slay placing her inside the car before zipping off to the Web. Belle joined Rogue as she walked up to the brick wall. They waited until the smoke was no more.

"How long ago did it start?"

"Ashton said he came over about 10 minutes ago to check their money and it had been in flames" Raven spoke up

"I'll lead I don't need any of you hurt"

Rogue slowly shuffled down the long halls. The smell of hickory burned the Widow's noses. The smoky air hurt their eye. But onward they ventured. Rogue used Dillon's sweatshirt to wipe her watery eyes. She felt bad for running out on him, but it was an emergency. They made it to the Bank main room to find it in ruins. The "Queen" sign dangled by one side. Almost every dollar bill burnt to a crisp. The jewels seemed it tact. The gold bars were melting right in front of their eyes. The thrown cushions were half burnt.

"Watch out for the sign" Rogue announced, "gather as much as you can"

She began to fill the sweatshirt pockets with assorted jewels and dollar bills that had been saved. Belle didn't moved from the spot we had come in from. She looked on terrified at the scene. Almost as if imagining it had happened to The Web or The Den. Snake Eyes noticed and walked over.

"You ok?"

"What?" Belle looked at her

"Are you ok? You seem distant"

"Yeah yeah I'm fine"

"Then come on"

Belle nodded walked over to a stack of gold bars. She flipped it over and it revealed a picture. She screeched scrambling away from the bar. Rogue and the rest of the girls raced over as tears began to well up in her eyes.

"Belle, Belle what's wrong?" Fox asked

She brought her unsteady, shaky hand up to point at the gold bar. Raven raced over and picked it up. Her face became gloomy. She walked back over to Rogue and handed it to her. Rogue looked at her confused before flipping it over. It was a picture of all of them in The Aces. There was even Sammy, Dillon, and Skate. Rogue didn't know what they wanted her to see. Until she noticed the X's over people's faces. Now she knew why Belle was crying.

The Hounds were next.

I know another short chapter! I'm sorry! It's just I wanted to end it on that note because of the drama! Don't kill me! I'll try and update more because I'm slacking.
