Darry- Now please do it everyday

A/N *reminder some of this stuff isn't 

 Y/N's P.O.V

You stared at the letter you had just got from the hospital..

"Cancer" You said with a shaky breath

"I have cancer" you repeated to yourself..

You slowly put the letter back in the envelope as you shred it into pieces.. you didn't want your boyfriend Darry, or the gang knowing about it.. 

You slowly wiped your tears as you grabbed your bag and headed to the Curtis' house.. the gang deserved to know, but you had something else planned for Darry.

You walked up to the Curtis house to see all the guys except Darry on the couch watching tv.

"Hey Y/N" they all said

"Hey guys I-uh need to talk to you all" you said as you sat down next to Sodapop

"Where's Darry?" You asked

"Work" they all responded

You just nodded your head 

"So what is it" Dallas asked

"Okay Please don't tell Darry about this.. I'm planning on telling it myself" you said 

They all nodded their heads slowly, you took a deep breath.. 

"I have cancer.." you said while not looking up to see their facial expressions

"Really?" they all asked in a shaky voice 

You nodded slowly

You looked up to see Sodapop and Steve's head lowered, Dallas muttering something under his breath, Ponyboy and Johnny furiously wiping their tears.. and Two-Bit staring at you. 

You all started crying, and they started hugging you..

"Please don't tell Darry.." You said 

"Okay Y/N but were going to have to tell him sooner or later.." 

You opened your mouth to say something all to be interrupted by a phone call.. It was your Doctor. 

You quickly excused yourself and stepped outside..

"Hello?"

"Hi is this Y/N, Y/L/N?" the doctor said

"Yeah this is she" you said

"Y/N.. we just found out you have 72 hours to live" they said

Your  mouth dropped, as so did your heart..

"B-but I don't feel anything" you said shakily

"That's the point Mrs. Y/L/N" The Doctor said

You slowly nodded as you hung up your phone without a bye.. you looked behind you just to see the gang on the window..

You knew they already heard you, you quickly started to break down as you sat down on the cold cement.

The gang hurriedly came bursting through the door and started hugging you, the rain started to pour harder as did your sadness.. 

~The next day~

I went over to the Curtis' house.. thinking of it.. it was the last time I was ever going to enter their house.. I snapped out of my thoughts as I opened the door.

"Hey babe" Darry said as he came over and kissed my cheek.

I smiled weakly as the gang were looking at me..

"Dar.." I began

"What is it?" He asked while he grabbed an apple and started eating it

"I need you to do a challenge" I began

He looked at me like I was the stupidest person ever

"Okay.. what kind?" he asked

"You can't talk, call, or text me at all tomorrow" I said 

"WHAT!" the rest of the gang shouted 

I turned to them and glared as they all shut up..

"Why would I wanna do that?" He asked

"Darry please.." you begged

"Okay Y/N but just for tomorrow" he said 

You nodded and hugged him real tight.. cause you knew that was the last ever time you were ever going to see him, feel him, and talk to him..

"I love you Darry" you said as you hugged tighter..

"I love you more Y/N" he said 

You got up and hugged the gang one last time as they all started crying.. Darry looked at all of us like we were idiots. 

I whispered to all of them

"Take Darry to the funeral after he completes the challenge.. there should be a note attached to the box" you said as you ran your fingers through your hair

You hugged Darry one last time as you headed out the door, knowing that was the last time you were ever going to see all of them..

  Darry's P.O.V

~Time skip~ 

I finally finished the challenge that Y/N asked me to do.. I haven't texted her, called her, or talked to her.. and boy was it hard, but hey at least it was done.

I grabbed my phone and called Y/N just to be forwarded to her voicemail.. 

"Hey babe, I finished the challenge.. just call me when you get this" I said as I hung up

I walked in the living room just to see all the guys dressed in black and all crying..

"What's with all you guys?" I asked 

"G-get dressed" Sodapop said as he wiped his tears

"For what?" I asked 

"Please." Dallas and Johnny said

I shrugged and got dressed in black like the rest of the guys.. I came out as Sodapop drived us to a graveyard..

"What are we doing here did someone die?" I asked while looking around

They all slowly nodded their heads..

"Oh, well shouldn't we have invited Y/N?" I asked

They didn't say anything except got out of the car..

I shrugged as we walked to the ceremony, we all walked up to the coffin, just to see Y/N's name on it.

I just stared at it.. then looked at the gang..

They all nodded

"W-why didn't you guys tell me!" I yelled 

"She didn't want us too.." Ponyboy softly spoke up

I leaned against the coffin and cried 

"H-how!" I yelled

"Cancer.." they all softly said

I hugged her coffin and cried.. I couldn't believe I just lost the love of my life, she was everything to me.. I kissed the coffin and was about to leave when all of a sudden, I encountered a note attached at the side.

It was  from Y/N..

"Good job baby, now please do it everyday"

I dropped to the ground while the rest of the  gang hugged me..

She really was something..
