I kept re-reading the letter that my boyfriend Sodapop wrote for me while he was drafted in war 9 months ago, every single day is harder then the next without him by my side.

I hope your doing well doll, I miss you everyday.. I'm writing this just to let you know that I might be back next month.. but I really don't know. I'm sending you alot of kisses, stay strong love, I'll be home before you know it, give Darry and Ponyboy a kiss for me..

You let out a soft tear as you were reading.. Ponyboy was beside you studying and you didn't want to make him miserable, after all it was his brother. You quietly stood up and walked out the door.
You decided to go for a walk to take your mind of him.. as you passed downtown, you saw *Monocle* the café you first met Sodapop in.. you smiled as you walked in tracing each step as he was with you.. reliving the day your eyes first met each other's.

~Flashback~
You just broke out of a toxic relationship with your ex-boyfriend when you decided to cool off at your favorite café *Monocle*, you cooled off once you smelled the scent of coffee, you quickly ordered as you scanned the room.
All of a sudden, you turned around quickly and bumped into someone, making them drop there muffin.
"Oh god I'm so sorry!" I said practically shouting
"It's fine don't sweat it" He said
As I handed him his bag, our eyes met each others.. I couldn't like away, it was like it was a whole new world in there.. his eyes were so blue it made the ocean have a lighter shade of blue.
"Uh- I'm Sodapop" he said as he lent out his hand
"Y/N" I said as I shook it
"So, uh mind if I join you?" he asked
"uh-huh.. I mean yeah sure" I said smiling
We both took a seat at the table near the window, not taking our eyes off each other
"So, you from around here?" he asked
"Yeah, just moved here from California" I said
"Woah" he said
I smiled
"Hey, if you don't mind me asking, are you okay" he asked
I looked at him
"Yeah, what makes you say that" I asked
"We-well you have mascara stained all over your cheeks" he asked
All of a sudden, you broke down
"I'm sorry it's just that my ex-boyfriend was so rude and he always used to hit me and I broke it off with him today but I'm just scared y'know? he grabbed my wrist.. and I swear he was about to drag me into his house and lock me if it wasn't for all the people staring at us" I said as I cried
"Hey, doll your okay" he said as he came over and hugged me from behind
I cried as I hugged him back, from that moment on I knew he would be my one and only..
~Reality~
I ordered my meal and sat in the exact same place Sodapop and I sat.. I looked at his letter and started crying.. I didn't care who saw me I missed him too much.
Then all of a sudden, I felt a huge pair of arms hug me from behind
"Hey doll, your okay" someone said
My eyes quickly grew wide as I jumped from my chair, I turned around just to see Sodapop standing behind me, still in his army uniform.. and the gang all in the corner.
I gasped as I jumped up and hugged him like he was my most cherished possetion, his strong arms returning the hug.
"SODAPOP I MISSED YOU SO MUCH" I said as I continued to hug him
"I missed you too doll" he said as he kissed me
I laughed as I let go of the hug,
"A whole new world" he said
I smiled as I remembered the lyrics
"That's where we'll be" I said
"A thrilling chase"
"A wonderous place"
"For you and me" we both said
"Promise me your staying here right by my side" I said
