Avengers Parent Preferences

First Day of School - Part 1

~Steve Rogers~

You were awake even before the alarm went off. You kept staring at the ceiling, you didn't want to go to school. It would mean leaving your dad and your uncles. You had decided school could wait. right ? 

"Y/N sweetheart, wake up !" Your dad's voice brought you back to your senses. You quickly pulled the covers over your head and went back to "sleep". You heard the door open and heavy footsteps nearing your bed. A hand rested on your head.

"Come on I know you're awake" he says tapping your head. You groan and turn around.

"Please don't make me leave you daddy" You whine and clutch your dad's hand tightly. He smiles and brushes stray hair away from your face.

"Aw sweetheart, it'll be okay. Just for a few hours and when you come back we'll go eat Ice-cream with Uncle Bucky and Aunty Nat. That sound good ?" he asks and a huge smile spreads across your face.

You jumped out of bed and rushed to the bathroom to change. Steve chuckled and helped her brush her teeth and braid her hair. Both of them made their way downstairs for breakfast. Pancakes and juice. Classic.

"Okay, buckle up" your dad says securing your seat belt. 

You were sad again, I mean ice-cream sounded good but 5 hours in an unknown place with unknown children ? Not so appealing. You didn't even notice your dad had stopped the car. He stepped out and opened you door. Immediately tears pooled in your eyes as you clung to his leg like a koala. He crouches down to your level, wiping your tears with his thumb.

"Hey, daddy will be right here when you come out okay ? Don't cry doll" he says kissing your forehead.

"P-Promise ?" you ask raising you pinky. He smiles softly and links his pinky with yours.

"Promise" 

And he kept his promise. He never left the parking lot and he was the first one to hug you when you ran out of the building giggling with a new friend.

~Tony Stark~

"No. Absolutely not." Tony said sternly. Everyone in the tower had been convincing him to send Y/N to school. He had to do it, sooner or later.

"What do you mean no ? She can't stay here forever Tony. She has to have her education" Nat says for the gazillionth time. 

"Well there's always homeschooling" he retorts.

"What ?! Who will homeschool her ?" Steve asks

"Brucie here is free most of the time. I'm sure he can do that" he says pointing to Bruce.

"For your information, I'm not free the whole day. I do important research and I have no experience in teaching children" he says

"She's going to school tomorrow. That's final" Steve says

"She isn't even enrolled yet" Tony makes a futile effort.

"We enrolled her a week ago. She's going. End of discussion" Bucky says and Tony just sighs defeatedly.

Everyone retreats to their rooms for the night. Tony makes his way to Y/N's room and sees her playing with and Iron-Man helmet.

"Daddy !" she squeals jumping in his arms.

"Hey kiddo. Shouldn't you be asleep ?" he asks noticing the time.

"Not sleepy" she says stifling a yawn.

"Whatever you say" he says placing her on her bed. She giggles and holds his hand as another yawn escapes her lips. Tony smiles at the sight of her little girl. 

"Are you excited for tomorrow kiddo ?" he asks stroking her hair.

"Very ! I'll make so many new friends ! Uncle Steve says I'm a big girl now !" She beams. Tony tries hard not to sniffle but a little tear escapes his eye.

"What's wrong daddy ?" She asks sitting up.

"You're growing up so fast sweetie. I just don't want you to grow up so fast" he says kissing her forehead.

"Then I'll always be with you. I promise I'll never leave you daddy" she says smiling widely and hugging her father.

"I love you 3000 daddy" she whispers.

"I love you too" he whispers back, smiling, that's a lot, he thought.

~TIME SKIP BECAUSE AUTHOR IS A LAZY ASSHAT~

"How was school kiddo ?" Tony asks as Y/N jumps into the passenger seat.

"It was great ! I made a new friend Emilia ! She gave me her crayon and I gave her my eraser" she continued rambling as Tony listened intently, paying attention to every word she said.

Maybe sending her to school wasn't so bad after all.

~Peter Parker~

Peter was a senior and he had a kid. He had no idea how he would drop you off without getting weird looks from people. I mean come on, a dad dropping his kid off and then running to attend a chemistry class ? definitely  glare worthy.

"I can take her if you want" May offered, her eyes following her nephew pacing back and forth in the living room.

"But I want to be there for her first day !" he whined. May shook her head and sighed. They've been going on about this since last week, when they enrolled you in school.

"Then you take her. Why do you even care what people think ? She's your daughter and she's more important" May states.

"You're right" he says and nods. "I'll go talk to Y/N" he says going to your room.

"Hey monkey. Watcha doing ?" he asks

"I'm packing my stuff for tomorrow ! I get to be like you !" she says squealing. Peter smiles fondly and picks her up.

"Okay, bed time" he says tucking her in.

"I wuv you" she mumbles kissing his wrist. She was originally aiming for his cheek but she was tired so settled for his wrist.

"I love you too monkey" Peter whispers kissing her head.

"Are we there yet ?" Y/N asked every five minutes.

"As a matter of fact, we are" Peter says and as soon as the words leave his mouth Y/N jumps out of the car and runs towards the school. Peter scrambles out and grabs her before she runs into the school.

"Hey, Hey no running monkey" he says, "Okay, now if you need something you tell daddy ok ?"

"Okay"

"You have your water ?" 

"ahun"

"Okay, you're good to go." he says ruffling her hair. She hugs his legs tightly.

"I'm gonna miss you" she mumbles

"Aw monkey, it's just a few hours. I love you and I'll meet you right here after school"

"I love you too" she replies and runs inside with hoards of students.
