A little happier tribute to NWH. That movie broke me emotionally and I still watched it 8 times.

=======================================================

Visiting Outer Space with your Uncle Thor and Uncle Peter was fun. When they dropped you off, something about the place felt off. Everything felt weird, even the air you breathed. The gut feeling that something bad had happened never once left your body as you climbed the stairs to your apartment. Much to your horror, there was no one there. The door was open and the apartment was empty.

The pit in your stomach deepened as you ran downstairs, fishing for your phone from your bag.

Your foot tapped nervously against the sidewalk as you stood there amongst the crowd. The click of the phone made you sigh in relief.

"Hello?" Your dad's familiar voice made you smile.

"Dad ! Where are you !? Why is our apartment empty !?" you question hurriedly, for a long moment there's silence. You think maybe the call ended but it hadn't. You could hear the faint, shallow breathing on the other end.

"Y-Y/N?" He whispers, the shakiness of his voice evident through the speakers.

"Yeah dad, its me" you reply slowly, walking towards the empty park. Your other hand tucked into your jacket as snow gathered over your shoulders while you walked. Your eyes dart around, squinting as you notice a familiar figure standing in the graveyard.

Without another word on the phone, you step beside him. Your hand meeting his as your eyes widen when you read the name on the stone.

"D-Dad.." you tremble as his arms wrap around you. His sobs clear as day as he stumbles down to the ground, pulling you with him. You hold him tightly as he sobs viscerally.

"W-What happened?!" You ask, thinking this might just be a bad prank.

When he starts speaking your heart drops to your stomach, hands covering your mouth to hide the sobs that escaped. Your feet scrambled towards the grave, tears falling on the stone as you placed a little gem you'd brought home for your grandma May.

Two hands gently pull you back as you struggle to breathe through your sobs. Hands rub up and down your back as your head spins. You were never going to see her again? She's never going to make her special Mac & Cheese for you?

"I thought you'd forget me" your dad's voice brings you back to present. Eyes shooting up to look up at him.

"Never ever" you say, hugging him tightly as he kisses your forehead.

That night you lay awake in bed, thinking about all the things that happened while you were gone.

You decided it was time to step up and help your dad protect everyone. Not loosing anyone else.

"Never ever"
