~Steve Rogers~

As Y/N's alarm beeped loudly, she groaned and opened her eyes. Much to her surprise, all she could see was black. She rubbed her eyes but nothing changed. She began to panic as even after 15 minutes her vision didn't return to normal.

"DADDY !! DADDY !!" she screamed crying hysterically. Steve came running to her room.

"Baby what happened ?" he asks sitting beside her, he frowned when he saw her struggling to locate his lap. He pulled her close to his chest.

"D-Daddy, I c-can't see" she whimpers and Steve's breathe hitches in his throat. He scanned her face and a tear escaped his eyes.

"Let's take you to Uncle Bruce" he says picking her up and placing her on his hip.

Steve was pacing around in the waiting room while every one was biting their nails off in anticipation. Bruce walked out with a grim face.

"Bruce how is she ? Is she okay ?" Steve asks his brows furrowed in concern.

"I'm so sorry, her optic nerve is completely damaged, she won't be able to see again" he says looking down. Steve stumbles back into his chair. Bucky and Tony quickly rush to his side. He cried in his hands and so did everyone. 

"Daddy ?!" a frantic voice called from the room, Steve shot up from his seat wiping his tears and rushing into the room.

He engulfed Y/N in a loving embrace. He kept kissing her forehead and stroked her hair.

"I'm never going to see again aren't I ?" she asks smiling sadly. Steve sighs and shakes his head, he realizes she can't see it.

"No" he says sadly. She holds his hands and rested her head on his shoulder.

"I just wish I would've seen your face properly one last time daddy. I'll miss seeing it" she says sniffling a bit.

"Honey please don't say things like these" he says his own tears making their way down his face.

"Daddy please promise me you won't ever leave me" she says. Steve links his pinky with hers.

"I promise doll"

~12 Years Later~

Steve held Y/N's hand as they both stood on the stage to accept Y/N's graduation medal. 

"Can I make a request Ms. Anderson ?" Y/N asks the principal. 

"Sure Honey" she says

"Would it be possible if the gold medal I was to receive today be presented to my father by me ?" she asks, the whole crowd looks at her confused. Steve furrows his brows.

"Why doll ?" he asks

"Because, it's you who helped me my whole life, it's you who kept helping me, all with saving the world and never complaining once and no one ever gave you any medals. Whatever I am today, is because of the promise you kept all these years, a promise of trust, love and happiness. I never felt I was missing out on anything because you gave me everything, you were, are and always will be my everything. I'm with you till the end of the line" she says as the whole crowd erupts into cheers.

Even though she couldn't see, she knew Steve was crying. Gently she lifted her hand up to his face wiping his tears with her thumbs. She smiled lightly as her father's familiar smile was felt on her palm.

"I love you doll" he whispers hugging her tightly.

"I love you too"

~Tony Stark~

Both of them knew this day was coming, but it would come so soon no one had guessed. Y/N was diagnosed with a disease called Lazy Eyes, which would slowly degrade her vision leading to complete blindness.

"Hey Dad ?" Y/N asks walking in Tony's lab cautiously.

"Yeah Sweetie ?" Tony asks turning around.

Y/n walk closer to him, holds his hands in hers and looks at him with glossy eyes. Tony crouches down in front of her.

"Sweetie what's wrong ?"

"It happened. I can't see anything" she says her bottom lip quivering. Tony gasps hoisting her up on his hip.

"A-Are you sure ?" He asks trying hard to keep his tears at bay.

"Yeah. It's been 3 hours" she says grimly.

Tony sighs and hugs her close. He takes y/n to her room.

"Everything will be alright baby. I'll always be there for you"

10 Years later

Tony put his new invention, vision glasses on Y/N's face. Steve, Nat, Bucky, Clint and Vision stood behind them, there breathing heavy with worry.

"DAD !!" she yells jumping in Tony's arms. Tony bursts out crying, hugging her close.

"It worked"
