Who is it?

"Yana what should we do?" Seli anxiously grabbed the sleeve of Yana's dress.

"I'll figure something out. Can you look after the kids?" Yana smiled at Seli.

Seli nodded and left but inside Yana felt incredibly anxious. What was the director thinking selling the orphanage all of a sudden?

That selfish idiot! If anything happened to the orphanage or if Yana couldn't work here anymore, her plans would be destroyed and Roy would be incredibly angry!

Damn. Was there a way to change the situation? Yana needed to figure out how much the buyer paid, maybe Yana could ask Roy to double the price. But considering how the director never sold the orphanage before, it must've been at an incredibly high price.

After the meeting, the director went out to take care of some things but Yana was pretty sure he was going to enjoy himself. Thus he has left everything up to Yana. If the buyer came, Yana was in charge of meeting him and talking everything through.

Even though Yana was the newest member of staff, the director entrusted everything to her quickly and the other staff didn't seem to have much problem with it. Yana guessed the reason for that was because she has studied economics, but she dropped out in the second year!

She has never gotten a degree. And on top of that, she never paid proper attention! Also, economics and this matter was something completely different! But seeing how everyone only had a high school education, Yana was the academic out of them.

Suddenly standing in the middle of the hallway, a pleasant breeze passed Yana and she caught white strands of hair, "Carol."

Yana's words made the beautiful girl in an apron stop.

"Yes?" Carol tilted her head and strands of her snow-white hair fell over her face. Her crystal blue eyes and her blank face gave off an icy feeling.

If Yana was used to be described as the sun, then Carol was the moon. Hauntingly beautiful but extremely cold. Carol has worked here the longest. Yet Yana has barely interacted with her and knew nothing about Carol. She was always quiet and reserved.

"What do you think of the situation?''

During the meeting, Carol hasn't said anything. She kept looking indifferently in front of her like his. As if nothing mattered to her.

Yana's hands felt sweaty. Carol was only staring past her for a minute before finally opening her mouth, "I don't like it but there's not much we can do."

With that Carol walked past Yana towards the room at the end of the hallway that was filled with children's laughter. Yana stood in the shadows, away from the bright light flooding in from the windows.

She balled her hands. In the end, it all rested on her. Yana shouldn't make hasty decisions. After all, she didn't know the buyer's motive. There was still room to negotiate.

Maybe they wanted to continue the orphanage. Buying a place didn't always mean to make something new out of it. There might be more profit if this place was changed but the buyer couldn't be so heartless and discard the kids, right?

For a while, Yana stood in the hallway fiddling with her phone. The bright screen read the contact 'Roy'. But then she took a deep breath and pressed the home screen button. This wasn't a situation where she should panic. In any case, she first had to find out the buyer's intention. If she couldn't even deal with something like this then Roy wouldn't trust her with another important mission.

Yana has trained hard for the past 5 years, forsaking everything she's known. It was almost a nightmare, how much she had to push herself until she stood at a spot Roy approved of. 5 years of pain, suffering and hard work. She had to even beg him for a long time to let her also go on a mission. These past 5 years wouldn't be in vain. Yana gripped her phone lightly before puttinh it in her pocket again.

Then her warm and brilliant smile that could light up the whole room appeared and slowly thawed her icy facade.

Yana, as well, walked into a room where all the children were playing. The moment she opened the door she was met with a loud scream.

"What's wrong?" Yana noticed that the children were exceptionally excited.

"Brian turned on the TV by himself again," Melinda sent little Brian a glare who cheekily returned it, "The news was playing live footage of the military. The guys got hyped and started playing soldiers, of course terrorising the girls."

"I see," Yana sighed before she started coaxing the children, "It's ok, soon there'll be lunch!"

And then afterwards, finally the afternoon nap where peace and quietness took over this noisy place. Yana hoped the buyer would come at that time.

The children cheered when hearing this, Carol's cooking was exceptionally delicious, so they were all looking forward to it.

After a while, they managed to calm everyone down while Seli and Carol prepared the food. Yana was subject to the games of the boys and had to play the hostage during the Robber and Police game.

"Brian, don't hit the horse with the spatula. Did you sneak into the kitchen again?"

The poor horse toy had to endure some serious whipping. Yana was about to stop Brian when Seli came running into the room and looked anxiously at Yana, "The buyer! They've come!"

Seli was still holding a spoon full of sauce dripping it everywhere on the ground. Seeing the panic on her face, Yana quietly got up and nodded.

Now it was time for her to put on an act.
