"Boss, you still have an appointment for-" Bao walked into Luka's office only to receive a shock. His usual strict and overbearing boss was posing in front of a body mirror! What in the hell did Bao just witness? How could he unwitness it and cleanse his eyes from the image?

In the first place where the hell did that absurd mirror come from? Bao rubbed his eyes a few times wondering if he wasn't hallucinating from working over hours.

"Oh Bao, you're back," Luka casually glanced at Bao before he turned his attention to his mirror image again.

"B-Boss?" Bao didn't want to ask, he absolutely didn't want to know but he still couldn't stop his mouth from ordering his own death sentence, "May I ask what you're doing?"

"Bao, I want you to be honest," Luka's deep and mesmerising eyes stared at Bao who gulped. Oh no, Bao had a bad feeling.

"You've been with me since the beginning, so it's ok to tell me the truth."

Oh no no no, if a boss ever said these words to his small fry employees he could fire with a flick of his finger, then definitely being honest meant to lie. Lie, lie, lie!

"Yes boss, you know I'd never lie to you," Bao solemnly spoke but inside his brain was already melting. What kind of horrifying and twisted question would his boss ask poor him? What kind of pitfall would lay in wait viciously seeking Bao's downfall?

"Bao?" Luka furrowed his eyebrows, "This isn't the time to joke, I'm serious."

Luka knew his assistance had quite the weird and eccentric personality but at least Bao did his work properly.

"A-Are you serious boss?" Bao almost choked on his saliva as he meticulously stood up.

"Yes, am I perhaps ugly?"

No way! Bao has never ever thought that his handsome and dashing boss had a fatal weakness! And it was the worst of all! Lack of self-awareness! What the fuck was his boss? Masses, millions of women practically threw themselves at his boss, he was crowned as the most handsome man in the country and adored by the public and media, even men drooled and envied his handsomeness, so where the fuck did his boss got the stupid idea he was ugly???

"Boss, I can assure, even from the viewpoint of a male you're more than handsome. A godly male!" Bao spoke with sincerity. Most of all, what if this stupid question cost Bao his job? What if?

"Who?" but Bao actually didn't even need to ask!

Someone, please end Bao's misfortune. With tears running down his face he turned to Luka, "Boss, how about winning the hearts of the kids at the orphanage first? If Miss Yana sees you getting along with the pupils she's bound to find you more of a husband material."

Bao couldn't believe the words he said.

"Good thinking, Bao. I'll raise your pay from this month on," Luka sat at his desk.

Bao's eyes shown with money, "Yes! Yes! Boss, if you need more help, I'll gladly assist you!"

"Good, Bao, I like your enthusiasm," Luka was too occupied to google about how to get along with kids than to notice his assistant's greed-stricken face, "Cancel all appointments for today and tomorrow. Help me learn how to win over the kids and tomorrow we straight go to the orphanage."

Luka couldn't wait to see Yana's surprised face. Luka was sure that Yana was bound to fall for him seeing his domestic and caring side, then hopefully they could clear up the misunderstanding and Yana would stop seeing him as her mortal enemy.

All Luka wanted was to go back to the days in uni before that one unfortunate thing happened. Of course, Luka knew that the past shouldn't become the future, that was why Luka wanted to pursue a new future for him and Yana.

"Yes! Yes, boss!" Bao was eager to help his boss if it meant he would reap more benefits from it, "By the way boss how much of a raise are we talking about?"

"Double."

"Oh," Bao gasped and instantly took his phone to cancel everything for the rest of the day and tomorrow.

Even if Bao had to face the wrath of high-executive people it was nothing against this juicy six-figure that was awaiting him. Bao felt bad for disliking Yana preciously.

From now on, Bao would do his best to make his boss favourable in Yana's eyes. If he did a good job then his boss was bound to reward Bao even more, right?
