5 years later.

"Bring me a car," a low and deep voice made a young man flinch.

"Boss, are you heading over now?"

"Yes, don't waste any time."

"Yes!" the young man rushed to make a call before saying, "Boss, the car's waiting."

Out of a leather chair, a tall and handsome man rose. His long and slender legs and his toned upper body in a suit caused everyone to scurry as he walked through the hallways. The eyes of many admirers and love-struck gazes followed him.

Finally, he arrived at the entrance where a black, expensive car waited, drawing even more attention from the passerby. Running his hand through his raven black hair, the male entered the car while the young man hurried to the passenger seat and told the driver, "This location."

The front of the car was separated by a wall and the male in the backseat sat all alone in peace. He took a tablet and turned it on while he went through the documents on his lap.

A second later, the voice of a news anchor appeared, "... finally updates on the peace treaties that have been progressing over the past 5 years. They have entered the final stages..."

The male looked out of the tinted window, "... various countries still couldn't come to an agreement. The end result will determine if there'll be war or peace, however, the situation is dire as both countries A and B are preparing themselves to go to war as it has been leaked that country A has made the same deal with another country and has violated the agreements..."

The male sighed before speaking into his phone, "How long?"

The nervous voice of the young man came through, "Boss, please rest! It'll be two hours at least!"

The male hung up. The news would definitely shake the world and a lot of people were already worried. The male scrolled through the comments on his tablet. Many people have expressed their worries that this would also affect their country.

With another heavy sigh, the male threw the tablet away before his lips curved into a handsome smile.

"Waah! He stole Fluffy!"

"Shh, it's ok. Nick! Give Lily her teddy bear back! How many times do I have to tell you not to bully Lily?" a slender and soft hand grabbed a young boy by his ears.

"Tch. She's such a cry baby!"

Nick, around 10 in age, pulled out his tongue in front of Lily who was two years younger.

"Apologise," clear, bright eyes stared down at Nick who turned his head away, "Nick!"

"Ok! I'm sorry! Let me go! Yana, you're stupid!" Nick freed himself from Yana's grip and ran away.

Yana sighed and straightened her yellow dress that enhanced her black hair and bangs that fell over her beautiful face.

"Lily, are you ok? Here," Yana comforted the young girl sobbing in her arms and handed her the little, torn teddy bear back, "I'm gonna have to fix him again."

"You... you'll heal Fluffy again?" Lily hiccupped and pitifully stared at Yana with her teary eyes.

"Of course, of course," Yana patted Lily's head.

"Yana!"

"Seli? What's wrong?" Yana sent Lily to play with the other children and turned to Seli, a woman as old as Yana, with honey-blonde locks and a petite frame.

"We have a meeting! It's urgent!" Seli grabbed Yana by the hand and pulled her along.

The orphanage they were in was fairly large. It was located in the outskirts on a mountain of City M, surrounded by nature. The green landscape around the orphanage offered a breathtaking view.

It has been 5 years since Yana dropped out of uni and it has been a little over half a year since she has started working in the orphanage. The orphanage housed only 20 kids with 5 staff taking care of everyone. The rooms were fairly large and there were enough places for the kids to play.

However, it was a fairly run-down and cheap place, it could barely accommodate the needs of the children. Funding was low and the children couldn't go to the kindergarten or school.

Seli led Yana through the wooden hallways with white walls and several windows that let light in until they entered a room that also had a wooden ground with white walls.

In a circle, three other people sat. One of them was the only male who was the director. He was in his late 40s and bald, but he was a friendly man who truly cared for the children.

"What's wrong?" Yana sat on the chair and stared into the round.

"Well," the director started and nervously looked at everyone, "I'm really sorry to say it but I had no other choice... I... sold the orphanage."

"What?" Melinda, a meticulous and hard-working woman in her 30s, was the first to explode at the director's words, "How can you do that? What about the kids?"

"Wait," Yana spoke up, ''What do you mean by selling? Have you given up on the orphanage or have you sold the place to hand it to someone else?"

"Glad you asked," the director wiped his head as Melinda angrily stared at him, "The orphanage changed owner but I can't guarantee what will happen to it and especially your jobs. I mean I don't pay you much anyways and you're all volunteering but this orphanage can't run long."

"We don't get much funding and the kids and even we are struggling, so you had to sell it," Seli sighed, "I understand why you did that but... what will happen to us?"

"The buyer will come today to check out the orphanage and talk about the future. If you're lucky, you'll stay here," the director started but looked anxious and guilty.

Yana caught on, "What about you?"

"Me?" The director coughed, "I won't be working here anymore. The buyer is the new director."

"No way, you received money and decided to leave?" Yana would've never thought the director would do something like that. The director was embarrassed but nodded.

"Really?" Melinda grabbed the director by the collar, "How can you do that? Is the money more important than the children? What if the new person's a scum?"

"It-It'll be fine, he's a nice person, probably."

"Probably?"

Oh no, Yana had a bad feeling.
