Should I be concerned?

Just after Yana left Luka's office she winked at the receptionist who waved her goodbye. Unknowingly, Yana has won over the receptionist but was still unfavourable in Bao's eyes.

"Miss Yana," Bao stood at the lift before guiding her in.

"Yana is enough like I said."

"Miss Yana, I'll escort you to the ground floor where a driver we'll be waiting to pick you up. Regarding any other meetings, we'll contact you" the baby-faced assistant looked solemnly at Yana, ignoring what she previously said.

"You're a hard nut to crack," Yana sighed, seeing that Bao had no intention to be more casual with her.

"Pardon?" Bao's chubby cheeks slightly trembled as he raised his eyebrow. Although Bao was slender, he was still adorable in people's eyes. The type that people wanted to tease badly. Yet this cute guy was trying to come over as serious and domineering as Luka. Sadly he failed.

"I think it might be better to just drop the miss, is that hard?" Yana looked amused at Bao who furrowed his eyebrows before putting on his professional face.

"I'm sorry, Miss Yana but I've got no regards for what you think."

"Ouch, that hurt me a lot," Yana feigned a dramatic act of being stabb into her heart as Bao rolled his eyes.

Bing.

Finally, the lift opening the doors saved Bao from having to interact with Yana. Although his boss ordered him to take care of her, Bao really couldn't understand why the boss relentlessly made him look for this woman.

There were tons of beauties out there and Yana's personality was by far none of the tender, fragile and soft-spoken white lotuses men like Luka would like. After working for his boss since the beginning, Bao still didn't know his boss' type. Did he actually like these brazen, spontaneous and reckless women like Yana?

Yana watched how Bao mumbled to himself while continuously shaking his head.

"Thank you for helping me," Yana cheekily smiled as Bao realised they've already arrived at the car.

"Have a good ride, Miss Yana," Bao politely bowed before his real face of annoyance shone through the minute Yana entered the car.

However, Yana continued to watch him and saw it. She lightly giggled before telling the driver the address.

Yana had a reason to get closer to Bao and it was not only to tease him but actually have him reveal any secrets, especially weaknesses regarding Luka. Yana's goal was simple and it was to pay Luka back. To humiliate him, but as a simple volunteer worker against a bigshot CEO, Yana had to be careful not to stop over the line.

Even though Luka seemed to be lenient with her, there was always a line that shouldn't be crossed. Evil thoughts entered Yana's mind while the driver nervously shifted on his seat and more than once looked into the rearview mirror to see the beauty chuckling to herself.

Sweat-drops formed on his forehead that ran down his poor body forced to continue operating the car. Suddenly, Yana's phone vibrated and threw her out of her master plan.

One look at the display and Yana was the one sweating.

Oh no, no, no... why was Roy calling out of all people? Yana actually got anxious. What if he found out about Luka and her having to take care of a project? What if he was going to pull her out of hte mission?

Yana's finger glided over the display wanting to press decline but the aftermath she had to deal with would be even worse. Roy was an extraordinary prim and proper man, especially strict. Yana could still remember how Roy, merciless, drilled all the training into her.

Kissing the sandy ground of the training field at least a hundred times a day was still making her body sore.

"Hello?"

"Yana?"

"..."

Yana was tempted to say he called the wrong number but at the last second stopped herself from courting death, "Yes?"

"Is your progress going well?"

"Of course!"

"You sound overly cheerful," Roy's sharp voice made Yana sweat bullets putting the ones the driver produced to unbelievable shame.

This damned bully! He should drown in the swimming pool he made Yana fill with her sweat!

"I'm enjoying a nice dinner."

The driver raised his eyebrow.

"I see, makes sense, you glutton. But if Pama finds out..."

Shut up, you bully!

"Haha, why are you calling?"

"Your modified version has just arrived, do you want to pick it up?

For a clever man like Roy who was even called the brain, to ask Yana such a stupid question, she didn't know if he did it on purpose or not, "Roy, why the hell would I take a gun back to the orphanage?"

The driver now raised both of his eyebrows. His hand slowly moved to his own phone on the passenger seat, ready to dial the police.

"Oh," Roy was actually counting on her to take that killer weapon with her. Was he serious? But then-

"Wait, did something go wrong?"

"No, I forgot you were taking care of the orphanage."

Yana's eye twitched, "What else did you think I'd be doing?"

"I thought you were at the border with Nelo."

"I'm not! Because no matter how much I begged you, you wouldn't station me there!" the border referred to the current critical warzone between Country A and B.

"It's ok, just keep a weapon with you. I'll store this present for you," with that Roy hung up the phone all of a sudden without giving Yana the chance to say anything.

First, it was Luka who made her angry and now Roy. Why was he even calling? This was unlike him. Yana almost got a heart attack thinking Roy was going to grind her into pieces because something might have gone wrong. That would be the only reason why Roy would call and not to make such small talk.

Yana rubbed her temples. She felt like back then it wasn't easy to get angry, but now one vein after another popped every second.

"Miss, should I be concerned?" the driver finally spoke up after ringing with himself for a good second.

"Ah, sorry, don't worry, I was talking about a BB gun. My friend is a paintball maniac," Yana naturally lied.

"Office workers should have something to blow their stress off, that's good," the driver, relieved and reassured, continued to mind his own business.

However, Yana wasn't in a good mood. That was because she was sure that Roy would never forget which mission he sent her on.

He must have had a motive to call her. Also, the whole conversation about the gun was just weird. Why would he tell her about it?

There was no need for him to inform her. Something was wrong but Yana shrugged it off. For now, she had to focus on her problem first.
