"So, what are you trying to do?" Yana's words froze the tense atmosphere. Her cold eyes narrowingly sized Carol up.

At first, Carol wanted to snap at Yana for minding other people's businesses but seeing how Yana was suddenly acted like a completely different person, these words got stuck in Carol's throat.

No matter how hard she gulped they wouldn't go down. Terrifying. This was the only thing that came to Carol's mind when she saw Yana. How could this happy and go-lucky-stupid girl Yana always was, become such an intimidating person?

"I asked you and I expect an answer," a small smile formed on Yana's face as she approached Carol. The latter was backed against the wall and couldn't move. Her eyes darted around and slight panic crept up her indifferent face.

"What are your intentions?" by now Yana's voice was a dangerously low whisper engulfing Carol's head and terrorising it. Yana stared at the tensed up shoulders of Carol. Yana has always thought Carol was a quiet and obedient person, so Yana was surprised to see how vicious Carol could become.

If Carol thought she could walk all over Yana, then how wrong she was. There was no way Yana let Carol have her ways.

"So? You seemed to have such a loose tongue just now, where's your courage all of a sudden?" Yana's face was only an inch away from Carol's and her eyes flashed, "What do you want to do with the kids?"

"That has nothing to do with you?" Carol caught the dangerous glint and instantly regretted her attitude. But then again what could Yana do?

She was just a low caretaker like Carol. Who did she think she was? Just because the buyer, a CEO took a liking to her? Just because the director put Yana in charge and just because that handsome CEO made Yana project leader? So what?

"Don't get so full of herself," Carol hissed. The only thing Yana had going for her were her looks. Carol wasn't even inferior to Yana in that aspect. If she could woo the CEO, why couldn't Carol? Also, Carol was longer in the orphanage than Yana who has been here only for 6 months, so Carol was higher than Yana-

Yana was slightly taken aback by Carol's change. Just a second ago, she was trembling in fear and now an arrogant and hateful look clouded her face. Yana sighed. This girl was more trouble than she thought she'd be. What nasty and presumptuous thoughts flew around in her mind?

Yana wanted to exert more pressure. When it came to interrogating or even extorting, Yana learnt from the best. There was no way she couldn't get Carol's intention out of her. Yana looked at the white bunny Carol seemed like and sneered, "If you thi-"

"AAH!" suddenly screams came from downstairs. Yana threw a glare at Carol before rushing down while Carol, frightened from the pressure Yana gave her, took a deep breath to calm her rushing heartbeat.

Carol wouldn't take this humiliation lying down. Whatever Carol did in the orphanage, Yana had no say in it nor the power to control her.

Carol once again confirmed her intentions. Yana needed to go. And whatever that Mr K needed, Carol would do it, as long as it meant Yana disappeared from the picture.

"What's wrong?" Yana rushed into the room from where the shouts came from and once again her face blanked at the familiar scene. On one side of the room, the children cramped up and on the other-

"Yana! It's that scary guy again with his lackey bun man!"

"Get them away! Help!" the children clung onto Seli who helplessly blinked at Yana.

Yana rubbed her temples. She already had one headache to deal with and now two new ones came.

"Shouldn't Mr scary guy and his lackey bun man be out terrorising the city from their M.M base and not here having free time to spare sabotaging children?" Yana crossed her arms and looked at Luka with an 'I'm-so-done-with-you' expression.

Luka coughed a few times and straightened his tie. Yana's look stabbed him in his fragile heart. Bao on the other side, who would never forgive the kids for calling him bun man, could clearly see how Yana dragged the knife across his cold and overbearing boss' heart.

How could his cool and domineering boss turn into such a weak simp? Women were truly frightening. Love was truly terrifying. Bao wanted none of it. The only reliable partner in life was money.

'I came to see you. I made space in my busy, packed schedule to see you and you're not happy? How much more should I show you my affections?' was what Luka wanted to say but of course these words could never make it over his lips. He could only cry a desperate puddle in his heart and wag his tail.

"I thought you'd need help."

Seeing how Luka took so long to answer, Yana thought he was here for serious business but in the end, it was just him wanting to flaunt his power and status for his own inflated ego. Yana was out.

"Leave," turning on her heels she didn't even spare Luka a look before she left the room. For now, she had to let Carol go and talk to the others. Since Luka and Bao came, Yana was naturally worried that the couple would see these clowns. She hoped Melinda had lured them somewhere else and not let the couple hear this ridiculous circus.

To settle the adoption matter as soon as possible, Yana should help Melinda.

"Wait," as she was walking down the hallway, she heard Luka's voice.

Dammit. Couldn't he just leave? What was a busy CEO coming here for anyway? Wasn't he just here yesterday? Did he want lunch again? Show off his money?

Not wanting to bother with him, Yana did what every other normal person would do. And that was to. RUN! Run the hell away from him!

"Yana, I- Hey! Why are you running!"

Yana looked behind her, "Why are you following me! Stay away!"

Luka's speed was extraordinarily fast.

What the hell? Weren't office people exhausted and back-hurting people? Did Luka even have time to exercise?

"What's wrong with you?"

"What's wrong with you? Why are you running? I just wanted to talk!"

"Yeah, yeah, that's what every grim reaper would say!"

"What?"
