The moon banquet. The 36th banquet of the Toln conglomerate. A charity event providing false pretences and keeping up images. It was a banquet where people from all over the country came from. Various infamous company owners, conglomerate owners, business people and even those that had a hand in the underworld and black market attended.

On the surface, it was a lovely charity event for a good purpose but the truth was that this banquet was an excellent opportunity to socialise, make connections and show off, flaunt one's status and achievementa. It was used for selfish purposes.

At the Marinim hotel, one of the most luxurious and famous hotel chains, several limousines and Bentleys pulled up. The cathedral-like hotel had a grand entrance covered by a red carpet and two guards, while security had to hold the paparazzi behind the lines, preventing them from getting too close to the guests.

Once many influential people flooded in, the flashes of the cameras relentlessly went off creating a white storm blazing through the front area of the hotel. One after another the cars pulled up and many beautiful people dressed in gorgeous clothes stepped onto the red carpet.

Yana watched the scene from afar. Luka sat next to her on the leather backseat of the limousine. In front of their car was a long line waiting to arrive at the entrance. Suddenly, Yana got a bad feeling. All these paparazzi meant it was inevitable for her face to be shown and probably even make it to the title page as the mysterious woman next to M.M's CEO.

Then they'd try to dig out all the information about her. Yana bit her lip. She had to lay low but she was literally going to be thrown in front of the lion's den to feed the gossip-hungry public. She was going to be heavily scolded by Roy.

Yana should have thought through this better. Luka saw the slightly anxious expression on her face and took her hands. Startled, she turned to him.

"It's ok to be nervous. I'm with you."

Imaginary streams of tears rushed down Yana's face. This wasn't the problem. Luka probably thought she was overwhelmed by such a grand event and the pressure was getting to her, but she couldn't care less. She just wanted to evade the paparazzi! In her chaotic mind, she didn't even notice that Luka had intertwined their fingers.

"I just don't want the paparazzi to see me," Yana told him the truth.

"Well I can try to shield you but," Luka looked at her and sighed, "It won't leave a good impression on others."

"That's fine, that's the last thing I could care about," Yana would never see any of these people again anyway.

Luka cheekily trailed the back of Yana's hand with his thumb. He wanted to take her in his arms and coax her. Actually, the reason why Luka brought Yana to this banquet was to show her off to everyone and have her get used to such a lifestyle. After all, once they were married, Yana would need to attend these with him more often.

Luka felt a bit giddy inside and he smiled at Yana who completely ignored him and only looked out of the window. Although Luka knew Yana had no feelings for him, he already thought about marriage. He was going too far now.

At first, Luka didn't even want to attend, especially because his mother was nagging him to do it, but then that white-haired staff working with Yana brought him to a good idea.

Although Luka knew that Yana would be the centre of attention and probably subject to jealousy, Luka promised to stay by her side the whole evening and not let anyone harm her.

Yana felt a light squeeze and belatedly discovered how Luka sneakily wrapped his hand around hers. She pulled her hand away only to find out she couldn't. Her eyes narrowed at Luka, "What's the meaning of this?"

"Stay by my side."

"What?" Yana was caught off guard. Luka said it so sweetly with such a gentle look, any person would immediately fall for him.

If the misunderstanding between them hadn't been cleared up yet, Yana would've thought he was just messing with her again.

But now she wasn't sure what he wanted from her. Could it be...?

Yana's eyes widened. No. There was no way. It shouldn't be. Why would L-

"Did you hear?" Luka's face closed in on Yana's and he tugged a loose strand of hair behind her ear. In the dark car where the only light source came from outside, Luka appeared even more charming and tempting.

His half slid-back hair revealed part of his forehead while his other side was covered by his bangs. He looked extraordinarily handsome and his egyptian blue eyes drowned her in a tide full of tenderness.

His black suit was half unbuttoned. Yana swore when they first got into the car it was still buttoned up. But this contrast between sexiness and warmth provided an allure that many wanted to quench their thirst for.

As Luka's hand left Yana's ear, his hot breath tainted her cheek. She felt a small tingle and instantly pushed him away, "Properly wear your clothes, we're almost there."

There were only three cars in front of them. Yana was too distracted by Luka and failed to come up with a strategy. Luka shielding her face was useless. Even though his shoulders were broad and he was tall, Yana couldn't hide behind him like a shy girl.

To beat everyone, confidence was key no matter how ridiculous she looked. Sulking Luka buttoned his shirt up, anticipatingly waiting for her to praise him. Yana pursed her lips trying not to laugh at the sight before her and said, "Give me your jacket."

"Huh? Why?" Luka was perplexed as he was already stripping.

"Just give it to me."

The car rolled in front of the entrance and a staff opened the door. The paparazzi anticipatingly held up their cameras seeing a male step out and hold out his hand to a female only to-
