"What do you guys think?" Yana asked the children about the new home she has envisioned. It was pretty simple. The other staff also agreed to just keep it a small place. They and the children didn't need anything fancy. In the first place, they were already content with what they had.

It was also better for Yana if they didn't attract too much attention. With how things were going right now, it was all well except for the nuisance and unaccounted variable Luka was. And the fact that Yana had to carry baggage with her. Baggage as in those three managers she still had to deal with and couldn't get off her back.

"Yana, a slide! We want a slide!"

"Tch, what a baby."

"Nick, don't bully Lily again!" Yana pulled Nick away from Lily, "If you have nothing nice to say than don't."

"But it's true that she-"

"Yana," Seli came rushing into the room, "They... the buyers are here again!"

"What?" Yana scowled just thinking about Luka's face, "Alright, I'll go see them, take care of the children."

Yet, Yana waited for 15 minutes in the office, her eyes started to twitch simultaneously. It was a horrifying sight.

Did Seli probably see it wrong? Could it be that she mistook someone else for Luka? But then again who would come here to this desolate place? Or, Yana grit her teeth, was Luka making fun of her and hid somewhere else?

A bit annoyed Yana rose out of the chair and left the office. She went back to the room where Seli and the children were until-

A rather unusual sight greeted her.

"What... are you doing?" Yana's face blanked seeing Luka's indifferent face looking at her while he tidied up his messy appearance.

The room was quite big. The wall Luka and Bao, who nervously smiled, stood at was connected to the door while on the other side of the room was the fireplace where Seli coaxed the crying children.

"I was trying to make friends with them," Luka answered as if everything wasn't out of place.

"By making them cry?"

"I didn't-"

"Yana, he's scary! Make the scary man go away!" the children whined but didn't dare to run to Yana because Luka was there, so they could only cling onto Seli.

Yana raised her eyebrow as Luka coughed.

"Boss... I think it backfired," Bao whispered.

"I know it very well myself, you don't need to say it," Luka whispered back and straightened his tie.

"Mr CEO, what are you here for? Did you come to bully the children?" Yana couldn't let this wonderful opportunity go of taking a dab at Luka.

"As if a certain caretaker hasn't been bullying a certain Mr CEO into bankruptcy," Luka smirked at Yana. Two can play the game.

Yana had to admit that Luka looked particularly attractive with his little smile, his messy hair, unbuttoned shirt and the tie that hung loosely around his neck.

Realising where her thoughts led her, she cleared her throat. Usually, children or any person would be attracted to handsome people but these orphans were all shy towards a stranger and Luka's stone face didn't help at all.

"Then this certain CEO should go and save his company?" Yana gave Luka a sweet smile.

Luka's smile grew. Yana really looked pretty smiling, even if it was fake it was still directed towards him. He would take anything he could get.

"Or maybe I should hold the caretaker responsible. I wonder what punishment she should get?" a dark look sized Yana up.

In an instant, Yana took a few steps back and glared at Luka. As if she didn't get what this perverted demand meant.

Bao, in the beginning, only rolled his eyes at this cringefest banter. He still wasn't paid enough to deal with this. Then he eyed Seli who was almost suffocated by the children.

"Seli! That scary man is still here!"

"And he's bullying Yana!"

"We need to save her!"

Hearing these voices, there were two different reactions.

One-

Yana squirmed and thought they were too adorable.

Second-

Luka inwardly growled but tried to put on a friendly smile.

"Even the children can see you're bullying me," Yana was having a good time seeing how these little children could make M.M's CEO act like a fool.

Luka thought he had everything figured out. He spent the whole night studying with Bao how to get kids to like someone but apparently, it wasn't working.

So it was really frustrating! Luka knew that he shouldn't have listened to Bao and bothered with the kids, instead, he should've put more effort into his looks! Did he really look like a monster?

He, a rich billionaire with everyone in this country basically kneeling in front of him, felt insecure because of the mere words of little kids? Instantly, Luka shot Bao a glare who at lightning speed broke out in sweat.

Having worked closely together for three years both of them developed telepathy. Luka's eyes threatened Bao 'I swear if this doesn't work out you can kiss goodbye to your double salary!'

'Noo! Boss, please have mercy!' Bao's eyes literally got on their knees to beg, 'Who knew the kids were going to be like this? Who knew your appearance could scare them?'

'So it was my appearance in the first place! You wasted my entire time!'

Bao was sweating bullets, no, he was sweating rockets crushing the ground underneath him to dig a pit for his silent burial, 'Boss! I'm sorry! Maybe we should go and get you plastic surgery?'

In an instant, Luka was frozen. Was he really this ugly? Were all the compliments and ass-kisses of Bao a lie?

'So you finally revealed what you thought of me, huh?'

Dramatic, Luka turned away from Bao, leaving that baby-faced employee despairing.

He misspoke!

Luka's eyes were so threatening he felt compelled to throw insults at his boss! Having caught that heated and unfortunate staredown between an intimidating wolf and a baby bun, Yano had to stifle her laughter.

For some reason, she could more or less guess what they talked about and it was hilarious seeing their expressions contort. And Luka looked quite a bit endearing.

However, the next second Yana completely burst out laughing. Luka approached the children with his friendly smile but it only caused a mass panic.

"Seli! He's trying to murder us!"

"He's a peterfile!"

"Run!"

Immediately all the kids ran out of the room.
