T-Break (Amberprice)

(This is one of my favorite beach photos from last summer! I want to go back so bad! I might just cave and go next week or something. If I do, wish me luck out in the cold trying to get some good photos. Lol)

"I need to take a T-break." Chloe said.

She was sat in the junkyard with Rachel, lazily running her hand through Rachel's hair. As they smoked a blunt together.

"A what?" Rachel asked.

She passed their shared blunt back to Chloe.

"A T-break." Chloe said. "Short for tolerance break. Basically it takes a ton of weed to get me high because I've built wayyyy to much of a tolerance. So if I take a break for a bit that tolerance should go down, save me a bunch of money on weed and make the highs sooo much better for a while."

"Oh." Rachel said. "I'll keep your stash safe while you're on your break."

Chloe laughed.

Rachel was sat her desk working on a particularly difficult assignment when there was a flurry of frantic knocks on her door.

"just a second!" She called out.

She got up and slowly opened the door, relived when she saw it was Chloe. She opened the door so Chloe could come in and shut it behind her.

"Whats up?" Rachel asked.

"Where is it?" Chloe asked.

"Wheres what?" Rachel asked.

"Don't play that game with me. Wheres my weed?" Chloe asked, holding her hand out.

"Chloe, it's been a day." Rachel said, sitting in her desk chair.

"What? No. No way." Chloe said.

"Yup. It's been about twenty hours since you declared your T-break. So technically not even a full day yet." Rachel said, turning back to her homework.

"Ugh.. noooo.." Chloe said.

She laid on Rachels bed and stared at her ceiling.

"Rachel I can't do this.." Chloe said.

"Yes you can Chloe. It will save you money on weed. Plus, just think about how great that first high after a long break is gonna be." Rachel said, checking off an answer.

"Imagine what it would be like now." Chloe said.

Rachel shook her head.

"At least give it a week." Rachel said.

"A week?" Chloe asked sadly.

"You know. Most T-breaks are twenty one days." Rachel said, looking up from her homework. "So a week is virtually nothing."

Chloe groaned.

"Want something to take your mind off it?" Rachel asked. "Whats... the square root of four?"

"I can't do math. I'm gay." Chloe said.

Rachel laughed.

"Yeah, so am I. The answers two by the way."

"Rachel, at least tell me where you're hiding my stash." Chloe said.

Rachel put her pencil down and turned in her desk chair to face Chloe.

"No." She said.

"I'll find it." Chloe said. "I'll fucking sniff it out or some shit."

"Nope, not gonna work." Rachel said.

"So it's not even here?" Chloe asked.

"I didn't say that." Rachel said, turning back to her homework.

"Come on Rache.. please.. what if theres an emergency?"

"What, a weed emergency?" Rachel asked.

"Yeah! Its great for anxiety and stress." Chloe said seriously.

"There are other things that work for stress." Rachel said, checking off more answers on her homework.

"Like what?" Chloe asked.

"You did not just ask that." Rachel said.

"What?" Chloe asked again.

Rachel looked at Chloe and tilted her head as if suggesting something.

"Ohhhhhhhhhhh..." Chloe said, finally catching on. "So... you free now?"

"Does it look like I'm free Chloe?" Rachel asked.

"Well, you're doing math and I think anyone doing math homework would beg for a reason to stop so... yeah?"

Rachel looked at her half finished homework and then back at Chloe.

"Damn. You're right." Rachel said, throwing her pencil down on her desk.

"Yes!" Chloe said excitedly, making room for Rachel on the bed.

I had wayyyyy to much fun writing this. The dialogue was so fun I made myself laugh. It's not very long (I wrote it last night) so sorry about that. I just felt like it had to be shared. I'm also compiling a bunch of Drabbles (short short stories) to post soon so keep and eye out for that! I'm still considering if I should make it a separate book or not though. Hope you enjoyed!
