(This was a pic I took this morning right before I almost died from overexertion. But you do what you gotta for the moody pics. Lol. I really love fog and pine trees. Easily my favorite thing to photograph.)

"And what happens when we combine the two?" Ms. Grant asked the class.

Chloe sighed and doodled in the corner of her chemistry book. She had a lot on her mind this week. For one, she and Rachel seemed to have reached a confusing part of their relationship. Whatever it was. Chloe didn't know how to address it. She had feelings for Rachel. That was for sure. But she was scared. Rachel was the only person since Max had left that was willing to be her friend. What if Chloe scared her away? Then what?

"Miss Price, are you paying attention?"

"Wha-" Chloe said.

She looked up and the whole class was staring at her.

"Um..." Chloe said.

"This is an extremely important part of the lesson. Please keep your attention to the front of the class Chloe."

Chloe was filled with irrational anger. Everyone was staring at her with that look. The pity look. The look they gave all the so called 'troubled kids.'

"No offense Ms. Grant, but, I have a lot on my mind today and chemical equations are not one of them." Chloe said.

Ms. Grant seemed lost for words.

"Chloe. Could you step into the hall for a moment?" Ms. Grant asked.

Chloe rolled her eyes and followed Ms. Grant into the hall.

"Chloe. What's going on?" Ms. Grant asked.

Chloe groaned.

"I don't want to talk about it." Chloe said, looking at the floor.

"Okay.. do you think you can bring a more positive attitude for learning into the classroom and leave your issues at the door?" Ms. Grant asked.

Chloe shook her head.

"Sorry Ms. Grant. These aren't troubles you just set in the hall and expect to go away."

"Chloe. You know you can talk to me." Ms. Grant said.

"I tried the whole talking thing. Saw a ton of counselors and therapists and shit. Never helped." Chloe said. "Now if you don't mind I think we're done here."

Ms. Grant sighed.

"Chloe. Go in and grab your things."

"What?" Chloe asked.

"I'm going to send you to principal Wells." Ms. Grant said.

"What? I didn't do anything." Chloe said.

"Chloe. The willingness to learn and respect for your teacher is something you have to bring with you to class. If you fail to do that and fail to talk to me about what's troubling you then I have no choice but to send you to Wells."

"This is bullshit." Chloe said.

Me. Grant sighed again.

"Look, Chloe. I don't want to do it. But I think it's best for both of us."

"Yeah. Whatever." Chloe said.

She barged into the classroom and grabbed her things. The room was dead silent and Chloe looked up to the front row and caught Rachel's eye. She was the only one in the room without a judgmental expression. Instead she looked at Chloe with concern. Chloe tore her eyes away and stormed out of the room.
